7/28/2023: MiLB Gambrelling on YORDANNY

Grant Gambrell is done after 7 shutout inning in which he allowed 3 hits & 1 walk, & struck out 8, lowering his ERA to 3.12.

Not sure if he would have come back out after 84 pitches if not for the crazy long inning, but it's moot now.

The recently demoted Theo Denlinger is in to pitch the 8th.

Greenville finally took JDE out of the game after 4 innings & 9 earned runs...& brought in Nate Tellier who has already allowed 3 more runs without recording an out.

WooSox lost 6-5.

Story was 1-2 with a homer & a walk.

Hernandez was 2-4 with a homer & a double.

Sea Dogs scored 3 more runs in the top of the 9th, Dylan Spacke pitched a 1-2-3 inning with 2 strikeouts, & Portland won 12-0.

Chase Meidroth was 2-3 with 2 walks, a steal, & 3 runs.

Nick Yorke was 2-6 with a double in his return to the lineup.

Phillip Sikes was 3-4 with a walk.

Corey Rosier was 3-6 with 2 steals (37).

Tyler Esplin was 3-5 with 2 doubles & 5 RBI.

Blaze Jordan was 2-5.

That means both Garcia brothers (Jhostynxon & Johanfran) hit homers today. Although Johanfran's game isn't finishing until tomorrow.

Michael Valera relieved Monegro & pitched 2 clean innings with 2 strikeouts (lowering his ERA to 9.98).

In the 8th Bryan Gonzalez hit a 2-run triple & Ronald Rosario hit a 2-run homer to cut the Greenville deficit to 16-8.

Salem lost 8-3.

Caleb Bolden got the last 5 outs, including 4 strikeouts, 2 hits, no runs.

Greenville lost 20-8.

Maceo Campbell had pitched 3 scoreless innings when he left with a runner on 1st & 1 out, having allowed 3 hits, 0 walks & 4 strikeouts.

Then Joey Stock came in, allowed Campbell's runner to score, & then 3 more before getting the last 2 outs.

Ronald Rosario was 2-4 with a homer, a double & 4 RBI.

Bryan Gonzalez was 2-3 with a double, a triple & a walk.

Eduardo Lopez was 2-4 with 2 doubles.

Alex Erro was 2-4 with a double.

Brainer Bonaci was 2-4.

Roman & Paulino were each 0-5 with a strikeout.
