Given that Whitlock has already had Tommy John on that elbow, I think you can probably hope for is a flexor strain, which would put him on the I L for at least 10 days then you’re talking about a rehab stint… I think I just officially punt it on the season in terms of expecting anything good to come out of it. If he’s out for any length of time, I certainly hope they move Paxson at the deadline, because this season isn’t happening.

If they lose Whitlock and trade Paxton, what are we looking at for a rotation?

Something like Bello, Crawford, Pivetta, Walter, Murphy?
