The problem tonight is that the Islanders played their best game. They dominated the boards, they had long stretches where they clogged the neutral zone on Bruin transitions and they then moved through the neutral zone on their transitions with ease. They also, after Pasta's whiff, essentially clogged both shooting and passing lanes through the middle. They won this one.
I'm worried that while I think the Bruins really are the better team, the depth on D is starting to show. Miller and Carlo being out is hard. Tinordi played well tonight, and he was not at all why they lost, but he is slow for the pace of these games. A shift with he and Ritchie out there is a white knuckler.
