Get the same end result as last night…. But with less K’s and more hits and runs. One more win and it’s officially a “successful” road trip. We want more than “successful”. “Successful” isn’t satisfying.

Just watched the highlights from yesterday. Looks like we did it just like we usually do. Defense, baserunning, opportunistic hitting, and great pitching. Maybe tonight it’s more atypical.

OTOH, Lynn has gotten lit up like a Christmas tree this season. Hopefully Red Sox remind him last week was a fluke.

Game 78
Only 4 hits. 17 K’s,
Awful and awesome infield plays.
Sometimes we win in wacky ways.
This season’s been a blurry haze
of injuries, return delays,
position swaps and DFA’s.
It’s an extended awkward phase,
yet our home team deserves some praise.
Just give the playoff race a gaze.
A couple wins, and we could raise
past Angels, Astros, Yanks and Jays.
Let's hope the current win streak stays
alive and that the Sox amaze
to lift us out of the malaise
of waiting for the holidays.
Just win! Believe! (Plus more cliches.)

I haven't seen Hamilton play but I understand he's very fast? So how does the nickname Blizzard apply?
He got that in high school. Teammates would have races around the basepaths and the fastest one with get treated to a Blizzard at the local DQ.

He always won, so they started calling him Blizzard ... "Blizz" for short.

If they had gone to McDonalds instead, he'd be Hamilton Burger.

And if he had gone to Jack-In-the Box, he'd be Special Sauce Hamilton.

It was either The Blizzard or the '78 Special imo.
