Link doesn’t work when I try it, but one of the SP guys says Mayer was dealing with “lower leg soreness” but is expected to play today.

Tejahari Wilson (he goes by Trent, but TEJ would probably be more fun) pitched 3 no hit innings with 1 walk & 5 strikeouts, & allowed an unearned run.

The 6'1 RHP who turns 18 in December signed for $50k in January.

Lugo has been back in the WooSox line-up two days now, 0-10 with 6 Ks -- 0-6 with 3 Ks tonight when Worcester romped to a 14-1 win. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that the HBP is affecting him at the plate.

Caleb Bolden pitched 3 1-run innings in his spot start.

Wyatt Olds was next & allowed 5 runs in his 3 innings, although only 2 were earned.

Theo Denlinger allowed a run in the 7th & Christopher Troye, making his 1st appearance since May 3rd, allowed a run on 2 hits in one inning, striking out 1.

Portland lost 8-6.

I'm a Mullins stan so I'm here for it. I don't think Mullins necessarily profiles as a starting pitcher prospect right now the same way Early does, which means that if they need an arm, they're probably more likely to send him, but if they're both equally ready to move up, they would probably prioritize Early.

But if you dive a bit deeper, he pitched the 1st 4 innings scoreless with 1 hit, 1 walk & 4 strikeouts.

He ran into trouble in the 5th which included a tapper to Brannon at 1st for a single, a couple steals & a passed ball, & at the end a couple walks.

He left with the bases loaded & 2 outs & Michael Sansone came in & promptly served up a grand slam.

So despite the final stat line, I'm still encouraged for LuCo's performance.

That was all the damage Sansone allowed in his 4.1 IP other than an unearned run in the 9th.

In his rehab return, Romy was 1-2 with a walk. Mickey Gasper came in to pinch hit & was 2-2 with a double & a walk. 3 PAs as the DH seems to be the normal pattern for guys in their 1st game back in the org.
