I'm mad they went down 3-0 because they are capable of playing such dominant basketball and they've put themselves into this position where just one hot or cold shooting night sends them home.

Shaq seems to think the Heats issue is focus..I am pretty sure that’s not it

Saturday is going to be an absolute war, I agree. Everyone needs their big boy pants…and possible we get game seven-esque let them play whistle so Celts need to be prepared physically for that.

Alternatively, they could put another Boston team in the very short list of the 0-3 asterisk.

If that happens and we keep up the same D intensity I think that would be a good outcome. Bam is a different player when you can crowd him without a whistle, and role players for them were pretty helpless against the timely help D.

They played us straight up for 3 quarters without Vincent. The W is all that counts but they need the game of their careers Saturday.
Just enjoy. That is how these games go. Teams that win the first quarter by 15 rarely go on to win the game by 60. Being able to constantly stop any run and maintain a 20 point spread for the whole game until garbage time is what mattered.

The two thing scheme-wise they really need to be ready for Saturday are the zone (duh) and Bam bringing the ball up. The latter is a potential counter to a lot of what the Cs did on D tonight and would need Al/TL/Grant to be ready to move their feet and stop the ball.

yep, but I would guess the data says they're more likely to win game 6 well rested than they were to stage a 20 point comeback in the last 6 minutes of this one
They are unlikely to come back from 20, sure. I think protecting from a potential injury is more likely the reason for the rest than playing NBA players a few extra minutes with an off day coming up tomorrow. I don’t think 5 minutes of extra rest with 48 hours off will make a huge difference.

The postgame coverage is all “Miami isn’t making shots” which is weird. That was Game 4. Miami shot 51/39/80 tonight. They turned the ball over, didn’t get a lot of looks from 3, didn’t get to the FT line, but they did make shots.

Game 6 is such an insanely massive game. 538 has us at 37% to win series, and 23% to win Finals. Win Game 6 we are the favorite to win the NBA Championship.

In the past couple of days, Miami has dropped back down to earth.

The thing is we won a couple of mini blowouts and we need to win a nailbiter. Saturday is the mother of all battles.
Vincent being hurt in addition to Herro has brought them back down to earth.. they're not deep enough to not have those two.. if Lowry and Robinson have to play more minutes.. or Love.. they're not going to win. Vincent and Martin have been absolutely on fire for them in the playoffs.. both of them have almost been their two best players at times. The energy and spacing they create ...and the fact that they're shooting 20-30% higher than their career averages.. has been immense. And both of them can play good D.

Beyond that.. Miami needs Martin and Vincent to be 100% healthy for their spacing. If Vincent rolled his ankle to any significant degree it doesn't feel like it would take only a few days for it to be 100% again.

Go f*ck yourself
My wife decided on Tuesday to go to London for the weekend. Left today, so I have to leave and pick up my daughter from practice at 9:00. Fuckkkkk, I'm so afraid to get out off this couch.

Think it would be cool to have a 12 year old girl walk home in the dark, wearing a swimsuit? It's only a couple miles, and it's not a dangerous town.
Ask her how the walk was for me please

I don’t care if your wife is back or your daughter doesn’t have practice on Saturday. We’re gonna need you to leave the house again at the same time.

thx in advance.

The toilet.
Great win, thought that was their best game of the season.

Chuck wanting to "sit on the monstah" was hysterical. Shaq was in tears while he kept repeating it.

Eh. Playing us "straight up" for 3 quarters after going down 15 isn't a big deal.
