Yep.Yep, all that happy talk about the greatly improved farm system is proving to be just so much bullshit!
No, I’m thinking of players other teams would want. You aren't suggesting that they should sell Houck, are you?
Well, almost all teams would want Houck, Crawford, and Bello. Casas too.No, I’m thinking of players other teams would want.
Don’t you have to deal with diva actors?Kelly looks like someone I probably wouldn’t like. I certainly don’t like his pitching.
Martin would be valuable to a contender. I'm not sure Jansen would be anything but a salary dump and a low minor leaguer.Martin & Jansen
Being bad this year is honestly best case scenario. Be at the bottom of the league for 3/4 years and actually build talent. It’s funny that without unprecedented pitching - this May record is what I would expect from the team.
We were fooled.
They’ve played such an awful style of baseball for so long at this point. The errors are getting to be incredibly old!Three years of this is getting to be a bit much. With this offense, is there any hope?
Salary dump? John Henry’s ears just picked up.Martin would be valuable to a contender. I'm not sure Jansen would be anything but a salary dump and a low minor leaguer.
That’s what Baltimore did and it’s been very good for them. Just be absolutely atrocious for two or three years, pick 1/1 and profit.Being bad this year is honestly best case scenario. Be at the bottom of the league for 3/4 years and actually build talent.
Yes. I hate them too.Don’t you have to deal with diva actors?
True. Just sucks because it felt like maybe they would be good. Lame to waste this starting pitching.Being bad this year is honestly best case scenario. Be at the bottom of the league for 3/4 years and actually build talent.
I will always respect what Henry did but I am beginning to loathe FSG. I feel like they are taking our money and giving us a terrible product.Salary dump? John Henry’s ears just picked up.
If you have a better idea with the current players in the organization, I'm sure Cora would love to hear it.Have we given Smith enough of a chance? They are not serious if the keep playing this guy. Another depressing loss.
I think Breslow is the guy that needs to figure this out. Personally, I would rather see Dalbec flail away at pitches. If you have a better idea with the current players in the organization, I'm sure Cora would love to hear it.
MLB has a draft lottery now, there are no guarantees that you’re getting a top pick. Oakland was horrendous last year, they are picking fourth in the 2024 draft. That’s what Baltimore did and it’s been very good for them. Just be absolutely atrocious for two or three years, pick 1/1 and profit.
Cora’s days were numbered coming into the season. With no contract after this year he’s a lame duck anyway, and I wouldn’t put it past FSG to can him a few months early just to make it look like they still care and are doing something so they can sell a few more tickets.I am also tired of Cora, I know the press loves him but his teams have sucked fundamentally for three years, I think most of that is roster construction but maybe a new voice is needed.
He’s awful. It boggles my mind he’s still here.I am also tired of Cora, I know the press loves him but his teams have sucked fundamentally for three years, I think most of that is roster construction but maybe a new voice is needed.
By and large I have had few issues with Cora…he didn’t feel great but also not a huge issue, the players liked him etc. But I’m kind of getting there with this perspective. His teams have been a damn mess for a long time now. He’s awful. It boggles my mind he’s still here.
Top 3 is fine.MLB has a draft lottery now, there are no guarantees that you’re getting a top pick. Oakland was horrendous last year, they are picking fourth in the 2024 draft.
Thinking draft position is important is silly.
And especially the way the Red Sox seem to pick em.Hmm.
So you want one of the first 4 picks or it doesn't matter? Go White Sox!
I already fell overI'm leaning towards bringing Bobby back rather than watching this guy until Casas comes back.
Numbers don’t lieThe Red Sox are 13-9 when Dalbec plays, 9-14 when he does not.
But is there any basis for confidence in their ability to do so?This is one of the more impressive bunch of world-is-ending hot-takes I've seen since the nursing home went short on tapioca pudding.
The offense is the problem. They need to fix it.

All they care about is to rip off people wanting to see Fenway. They couldn’t even give the Jimmy Fund its own day. They shared Fenway with a card show with a $25 entry fee and more tours where they didn’t even really use the main concourse. Greedy pigs are FSG.I will always respect what Henry did but I am beginning to loathe FSG. I feel like they are taking our money and giving us a terrible product.
