KP sitting and AL hedging helps on D for sure. KP grabbing 2 fouls early might have helped us (despite the two 3's from KP)

Edit : But please no double big.

Good start. Heat were allowed to basically hack at will but Celtics battled through. Offense will get better since their confidence will come back now.

I don’t like that 21-12 feels like a shitty outcome for the 1st quarter.

Oh look you force role players to put the ball on the floor and make decisions and they can’t do shit. Four quarters of that please. Idgaf if they get the odd layup here and there.

This is more or less what Miami's offense should be without Butler and Rozier. Celtics just need to keep up the defensive pressure and mind the boards - Miami will shoot better than 1-9 from three, but they simply don't have the creators if Celtics D does their job.

I don't love the offense---almost no drive and kick game, and while they are executing a bit better one on one it's still basically what Miami wants them to be doing.

Need Tillman in the 2Q to send a message. The Heat still look far too comfortable with cheap shots.

The Heat shooting will normalize some but the Cs play with this defensive effort and they run away

Celtics so much better vs zone than last year---reliably either Tatum attacks to break it or they send ball into paint and let the center find the open man outside.

I get why Miami needs to show it, especially wtih Love out there defensively, and Celtics need to just keep executing.

Bet Love comes out and they go back to man out of this timeout - Spo too smart to let this get out of hand early

Not sure why Miami went back to the zone. Maybe they want to play zone whenever Bam isn't in the game?

I think it is about Love - he can't guard anyone on Cs (maybe Porzingis sortof) and he can't switch. the rest of the guys are all switchable.

Bet he's out now and they go back to man

That was a suspect call - Tatum created that contact.

So, one back the other way (plenty more still deserved)

That's a nice adjustment by Cs----Bam is taking Tatum a lot, but that means there's zero rim protection when tatum stays outside. So get it to PP to attack the rim
