He did the same with the Sox. You had fools gold for a couple of weeks and then he regressed to normal.Franchy can go too. Occasional power isn't enough to make up for striking out so much and poor defense.
We’ll see, I think Hicks is near the end of his rope, but Calhoun and Franchy are doing their best to outsuck him and keep him around. The team will look a lot different if and when guys start coming back from injury.
Bader bounces Calhoun or Franchy. Probably Calhoun.
Donaldson is interesting. I suspect since IKF looks good in CF that the Yankees will decide to keep Peraza up and Franchy will go away.
The real question to me is what happens when Stanton comes back. It would be great if Peraza still stays and IKF gets time (and looks good) in LF/RF enough that they feel comfortable kicking Hicks to the curb. But given that we don't know how much OF a gimpy Stanton will play, I think Hicks probably survives and Peraza goes down unless there is another move or trade with Gleyber or Donaldson.
I don't think Bauers or Florial will get much of a chance at all. I'd like to see it though.
I know IKF has been fine in center and all, but he still isn't hitting. I'm not really sure what the solution is, other than they should have done something in the offseason. The team will look a lot different if and when guys start coming back from injury.

Volpe and Peraza hit 40 HRs combined last year in about 900 ABs, they are both still young and should gain strength. Dominguez and Jones and Austin Wells all have plenty of power, it’s just tricky to transition while still competing for a title every year. The youth movement may arrive a bit short in the power department.
The Rays have power. Their youth movement has reached fruition while the Yankees’ next core is a couple years behind. But it’s still April. Donaldson thinks he might be healthy next month.Volpe and Peraza hit 40 HRs combined last year in about 900 ABs, they are both still young and should gain strength. I was thinking same thing. Volpe is leaving the door open to Peraza.Three straight games with an error for Volpe. He is almost certainly a better SS defensively than IKF or Gleyber, but you know who is even better and on the roster? Yep, Peraza.
