Thankfully Bruins defend better than Roethlisberger UCoaches saw what Jack Parker did to win the Natty in 2009 down 3 to 1 and have adapted.
It’s not Toronto Sports Network, but we can start with TVA’s Renaud Lavoie lamenting another Cup-less year for Canada’s teams:If anyone can get on tsn and post sad leaf fan reactions, sad studio host reactions I would appreciate it. I am in Japan and can't enjoy directly.
When most other defenders were treating the puck like a live grenade for much of the series, he was a rock out there.Brandon Carlo was a beast the last 2 games. Best 2 games he's ever played IMO.
I must have missed this. Did they even show it on TV? I found the video online - pretty funny.
Cassidy: “Julian Edelman chugging a beer was awesome. Got everyone fired up, including us. We’ll repay the favor somewhere down the road.”
Best coach in league history who hasn’t gotten out of the first round for 5 years. Team #insiderrrrSo, here comes some fun. I think the Toronto/Canadian media is going to put Babcock on the hot seat.
Mind you, that’s not the same as him actually being on the hot seat, but the piranhas have been circling.
What has me optimistic for a deep run is that everything is setting up perfectly for them, especially if the Caps lose tomorrow. This is what has me optimistic for a deep run. Kuraly's return has the B's back to being a four line team, assuming Pasta can sober up.
for me the part that made me sit up like i'd been hit by lightning was him skating through literally four opposing players. Like, he didn't just beat his man, he skated right through or around an entire NHL team, and then from an open position, shot a bullseye.GodDAMN that Kuraly snipe was gorgeous.
I would have paid good money to have had them play this over the handshake lineYou make my dreams come true!
39 pages of this!Probably nothing good to see here: https://hfboards.mandatory.com/threads/leafs-season-over-leafs-lose.2638433/
I know what I'm doing during 8am journal club tomorrow!39 pages of this!
Congratulations on the arranged marriage!I watched this game while on a first date with my future wife. Stick a pin in that s*** and smoke it to sleep, compadres.
Reddit is awash in shock at Matthews' ice time.Holy shit, just realized Matthews only had 18:49 of ice time.... what the fuck was Babcock doing tonight?
I haven't watched enough of the B's this year, but good lord, Tuukka. His positioning, anticipation, reflexes... He plays percentages with his angles and forces his opponents to beat him with tough shots. It's clinical to watch.
I think Rask gets underrated/over-criticized because his great saves rarely *look* spectacular. Sort of like JBJ (or maybe JD Drew).God damn, that save on Matthews 4 minutes in.... and then on Marner 5 minutes later. That may have been Tuukka's best playoff game since 2013. He was absolutely incredible last night.
And the Bruins were turning the puck over all over the place for the first two periods and Tuukka bailed them out, again and again.I haven't watched enough of the B's this year, but good lord, Tuukka. I think there's something to that. That said, he can occasionallyI think Rask gets underrated/over-criticized because his great saves rarely *look* spectacular. Sort of like JBJ (or maybe JD Drew).
I was at that game. I couldn't believe he made that save. We actually didn't appreciate it as a crowd because there was no way he actually saved it and Grier must have missed. Miller had some equally incredible ones at the other end too.I think there's something to that. That said, he can occasionallyhit big grand slamsmake sprawling, athletic saves, like this guy:

It was. Bananas game and the Rask performance I immediately thought of last night. Was that the Satan game?
I disagree about Chara, especially on his clears. There had to be about 5 times where he tossed it up the boards right into a guys skates or chest. He did it once after the Too Many Men penalty where he had time and space and decided to use it to throw it into someone's chest. Not impressed with his performance last night. And as others have said, Carlo's impact can't be overstated. The Moore-Grzelcyk pair gave me the runs. McAvoy was merely OK in Game 7 . Chara was great at the relatively narrow range of things he's still great at. And Krug sort of held his own.. But even that was because he was paired with the beastly Carlo. It seemed he made every single play every chance he had.
I think about that series a lot as at the time it sure looked like the Bruins were ready to move on from Thomas and make Rask the number 1 goalie. They had started him over Thomas in the playoffs, after all.It was. Bananas game and the Rask performance I immediately thought of last night.
17:20 - Kuraly makes it 3-1I may jerk off to that save Tuukka made about 3 minutes into the 3rd period later on. Thought you might want to know.
I think the next time any of us see Kadri it will be on a draft weekend trade announcement.Anyone know if Kadri enjoyed the series? Haven't seen much of him. Wonder why.
Babs thinks he’s the smartest guy in the room. Lost his last 5 first round series now.Holy shit, just realized Matthews only had 18:49 of ice time.... what the fuck was Babcock doing tonight?
3 of them to the Bruins, too.Babs thinks he’s the smartest guy in the room. Lost his last 5 first round series now.
