Steven Wright is having trouble right now with a AAA team. I wonder why so many think he's the answer for our rotation troubles?
Because you're looking at three innings of one game, while he was pretty successful both at AAA and in the majors last year?

I didn't see anybody say he would be "The answer to our rotation troubles".  I saw comments about needing a long man to eat lots of innings without his arm falling off.
He fits that bill nicely as a long man not as a starter.

Yeah, sorry. I was just struck by how badly he was pitching and it made me worry he'd have worse trouble with the big boys. If he struggled like that as a long man, it wouldn't help much. I was asleep so I didn't see his relief appearance in Yankee Stadium, which I guess was pretty good?

Well actually he still might help even if he did struggle sometimes. If your starter throws 90 pitches by the 4th inning you can't leave him in even if you are conceding the game. Wake filled that role well. Sometimes he would be lights out and sometimes he would struggle. That's a knuckleballer for you. Plus, there aren't too many awesome "Long Men" in the game. If they were that good they would probably be starting.

Pretty cool - Bryce Brentz with a walk-off homer at McCoy.  And he gets an icebucket of water at home plate!

Final Score 8-7
