Cristian Javier has absolutely owned the Yankees in his short career, the current set of Yankee hitters are just 10-73 against him in his career, for a whopping .492 OPS. Judge is 0-12 with 2 walks and 7 Ks, yikes.

Austin Wells should definitely start this one, Berti probably too even though Cabrera hit well today. Also maybe Grisham gets a game and Stanton sits and pinch-hits if needed.

Volpe SS
Soto RF
Judge DH
Rizzo 1B
Torres 2B
Verdugo LF
Berti 3B
Wells C
Grisham CF

bench: Stanton, Trevino, Cabrera, Jones

Carlos Rodon has a lot to prove to Yankee fans this year, great place to start today. He was up and down in spring training but didn't seem to be consistently interested in results. He was so so good in 2021 (CHW) and 2022 (SF), really hoping we can get even 90 percent of that guy.

Could have been a lot worse from Rodon. That outing isn't going to help his WHIP, but he seems healthy and the velocity was good. I'll take it.

He just splintered Jose Abreu's bat with a slider, he was just left with the handle.

And Ks McCormick, good job.

You rarely see a reliever on a minor league deal essentially make the Yankees as quickly as Burdi did this spring, it seemed to be almost from his first side session back in February.

Not sure who they would actually run him for, but they do have Berti as a pinch-running option in the right situation. He led MLB in SBs in 2022 and supposedly is still just as fast despite being 34 (Brett Gardner Syndrome).

Gleyber was hit in the hand with a FB, staying in the game.

Gleyber wants credit for the run scored when Soto hits one 800 feet.

Dodgers castoffs get us through 7. Hamilton and Holmes again from here?

3 pitch 9th for Beeter's debut, 4 2/3 scoreless from the bullpen without using the top three guys (Holmes, Hamilton, Loaisiga).

That’s indeed a relief, also now they can play Berti tomorrow and keep the red hot Cabrera in again.
