Given the schedule from here on out and their place in the standings, I'd consider starting to sit Chara on the back end of back-to-back's. They've got the depth right now, with the luxury of a large lead in the division. Rest for him is going to be the most important thing headed into the playoffs.

Everything is tight at the top so they could drop right out again, but this recent streak has brought them from 6th in the league to 3rd in points.  They also have the second best goal differential.

Pittsburgh is idle tonight, so a win could put the Bruins in first place in the conference and second in the NHL (though Pittsburgh will have a game in hand).

I tend to agree with cshea, although home ice could be important in the conference finals.  But you have to win two rounds to even get there, so it's probably more important to have the best team you can on the ice than to worry about that.

I could not agree more with this. I'd do it with everyone not just Chara. Start a little rotation and get some of the forwards some time off too. I'd think about treating Tuesday as a preseason type game and tell Chara, Bergeron or another forward, hell maybe even Rask to stay home and meet us in Denver or something like that. Which might be a little overboard. But I'm a big fan of getting guys some rest.

I should amend my post above. I'll be in the house tonight assuming that I can actually get a flight home out of Philly in time. Delays like crazy right now.

If you get delayed, I can go. Your girlfriend likes me better anyway. She sure as shit didn't move to Framingham.

About to take off. Scheduled landing of 5:05. Take that, bitches.

To be fair, your girlfriend likes me better than you, so it evens out.

For those worried (I.e. No one) I'm safely on the ground. Grand canal, look out, I'm coming in hot.

B's were dominant. What the hell was the call on Caron? That looked like a horrible call.

Rask is putting some nice final touches on his Vezina resume for this season. Between the Tampa shootout, last night and the Doan chance he's stopped like 10 straight breakaways.

It's a shame the playoffs don't start like tomorrow.

Also, Klinkhammer is an awesome hockey name.

Bart will sit at some point, Claude's just tinkering to see what buttons he can push come playoff time. Meszaros played 2 games on the right side along side Chara, now they get a look at Meszaros on the left side.
