As I said. He’s the second best US golfer right now behind Scottie. I don’t like it either but it is what it is.

Something about DeChambeau gives me the vibes of an A-Rod...it just feels like he's disingenuous. Regardless, he did what he needed to be in the position to have Rory had that to him.

It’s probably another conversation. Personally I don’t get into such and such is an asshole. Can’t root for him etc. I enjoy good golf, so if someone is 4-5 under and everyone else is playing to par, I love what that particular player is doing different. It’s not like I can relate to them on the golf course, I just enjoy good golf no matter who is playing. Simplistic I know.

What an all time epic choke job from Rory. Absolutely gave the tournament away

To close the loop, Rory finally speaks:

View: https://twitter.com/BobHarig/status/1811017679764894096

He walked through both putts, 16 and 18. On 18 he said he was maybe too aware of what Bryson was doing and that Bryson was in a tough spot off the tee on 18. It was a 4-foot putt but on a slope, downhill with crusty greens, and he notes he was in that spot because his chip ran out farther than he wanted and thus he was above the hole. He went into the putt worrying more about the comebacker if he missed than holing it. He said if he had to do it again he would've hit it with more pace and taken some of the break out, essentially treating it like a putt in match play where the comebacker doesn't matter.

The putt on 16 is the one he regrets more. He said he started to feel uncomfortable over it. He throws some shade at Cantlay saying "he can take his time" and that waiting to hit it, his mind his mind started wandering.
