Given that the Dbacks are 0-3 all time in save opportunities in the World Series, they probably are ok with the big lead.Gonna make for a boring last bottom of the 8th and 9th.
None of Dunning / Heaney / Perez are good enough to traditionally start a WS game. Game 4 will be big bullpen from both teams.Any particular reason Bochy is using all his starting pitchers in a game when they're behind with an off day tomorrow?
I'd bet they're all better than Al Nipper.None of Dunning / Heaney / Perez are good enough to traditionally start a WS game. Game 4 will be big bullpen from both teams.
Jon Gray threw 26 pitches last night and looked very good, he is not stretched out currently but I bet he could give 50-70 on 3 days rest on Tuesday if they wanted.None of Dunning / Heaney / Perez are good enough to traditionally start a WS game. Game 4 will be big bullpen from both teams.
Is he still hurt or is he just not as good anymore? I didn’t follow him this year but it’s surprising that he’s been so mediocre in the playoffs.I guess a lot depends for the Rangers on how much they get out of Scherzer
Teams that play more of a "complete game" style of baseball have always been fun to watch. Where on earth does a team find a general manager/field manager combo like that? This morning I watched bits of the game on the mlbn rebroadcast. I believe that was the international broadcast. It wasn't the FOX broadcast with voices overlaid, but another b'cast entirely, with Dave Flemming, PBP guy to the Giants' radio and brother to our Will Flemming, and Ryan Spilborghs. It was vastly superior to the FOX b'cast, in my opinion.
I love the AZ style of play. Give me that over nothing but home runs any day.
I’m not crying, you’re crying.I wasn't quite sure of my rooting interest in this series (other than 7 games) but this story sealed my slight pull for Arizona. https://www.mlb.com/news/featured/world-series-nicole-hazen-mike-hazen-love-story
Why, is there a possibility the roof runs off its rails and falls and crushes 20-30 thousand people?Roof is currently closed, although the Dbacks roof hotline says that it will be open for the game.
I think having the roof open is a big benefit to the Rangers, but the Dbacks have always been pretty consistent that if the weather is good enough, the preference is to have it open regardless of perceived advantage. It's a nice day in Phoenix for baseball.
Edit: The roof cannot be opened or closed while fans are in the building, and gates are in less than an hour, so we'll know the answer to this very pressing question soon.
I used to always get the interntaional broadcast, and I used to prefer the English version. Rick Sutcliffe ruined that for me in 2004. I think Dave O Brien and Rick Sutcliffe were on the broadcast then. I switched to Spanish (Ernesto Jerez is still at it). I have had other vesrions now and then over here. This morning I watched bits of the game on the mlbn rebroadcast. I believe that was the international broadcast. Yep. That is exactly the problem. The stadium is falling apart and the Dbacks are not fixing it because they are in a dispute with the City, demanding $300 million for renovations, threatening to move, etc. The cynics say that they are deliberately letting things get bad in order to bolster their argument and get leverage under their lease. Who knows. But, at the moment, they have identified a cabling issue that makes it hazardous to open or close the roof while there are fans in the building. Why, is there a possibility the roof runs off its rails and falls and crushes 20-30 thousand people?
Who is that? Edit: NM, I looked it up. I don't like when singers change the tune of the anthem in order to show off.Knew it it was going to be Jordin
should have bet this
BRING BACK PENELOPE!!!I assume this has been discussed already, but i love that Chanel bought a bunch of ad time during the World Series and thought "you know what these fans are gonna love? A slo-mo profile walk of Timothée Chalamet."
NooooooooooooooooooooooShe missed her connection.
Texas also needs to acquire him at some point. It must happen. If Walker wakes up, Texas may be in trouble. That was crushed.
If that was all there was to it, the Red Sox would be playing tonightThat was bad 3B coaching and bad baserunning.
Why was it bad coaching? He put the stop sign up before he got to third, and Walker never looked at himThat was bad 3B coaching and bad baserunning.
He was waving him home way too long before putting up the stop sign. Why was it bad coaching? He put the stop sign up before he got to third, and Walker never looked at him
