The mucky muck
He gets really pissy and insecure about fan support or lack thereof. He's an intelligent guy - he has to know that people almost always root for the underdog and he's pretty much never the underdog.

On top of that, people generally want to see more tennis and are going to get behind the guy that's down big. Those tickets arent exactly cheap!

Yep, maybe that's his strategy with Sinner. I'm just thinking of the emotion he had throughout the match with Rublev and that's not there so far today.
They practice together a lot and I think Djokovic knows/knew exactly what it would take to beat him. Also Sinner didn’t really ever push him, and both were slipping a lot on the humid grass, terrible conditions.

Alcaraz is dismantling Medvedev. Medvedev is a good player who has won a slam and been ranked #1 in the world, but Alcaraz just has so much more game than Medvedev.

Vondrousova is just hitting back basic balls with non-risky spot or spin, and waiting for Jabeur to make an error. It's been a good bet so far, but doesn't make for the best watchin'.

Congrats to Vondrousova but that was an ugly match-long choke by Jabeur.

Are we set up for a Novak romp today or are we in for a classic? I really hope Alcaraz brings his best today.

Betting odds (if my conversion is accurate) gives djokovic about a 66% chance to win, which feels right to me. He’s unlikely to give Alcaraz too much, but if anyone can execute offense for 3 sets it’s him. Lots of pressure in that first set, djokvoic is up to 106 straight slam wins when winning the opener.
