Loving the pitch clock. Faster game, but that ending. Imagine that happening at Fenway in the 9th? Baseball 2023.
Seconded.I think there is going to be a bit of tweaking that will have to be done with this new pitch clock, but overall I think it's going to be a huge plus.
Maybe Eck could earn some $ for the Jimmy Fund with that idea.I'd pay 50 bucks to hear Eck on *that* ending.
I was thinking the same thing, and that was before the game.Maybe they need to extend the timing a little for the ninth and all extra innings?
Why was that guy headed toward first on an 0-2 count?
I believe it's a strikeout. So did they get recorded as a strikeout? What’s the official ruling on that?
This is literally the first day guys have seen this in action, outside of whatever "practice" their teams have been running them through. There’s no way in the playoffs they’ll end a game on a pitch count violation, right? Because even if it’s the rule, that would be just awful. That’s NOT how baseball should work. Even though I’m kind of liking the improved pace of play.
Ah, I was reading the hitter's 0-2 as the count.It was 3-2.
Tickets cost way too much to watch a practice game, IMO.Stands look far emptier than normal.
While I agree, it was never a problem before.Tickets cost way too much to watch a practice game, IMO.
Yeah, maybe it's indicative that many fans are down on this team. While I agree, it was never a problem before.
Could also be that the snow birds/tourists didn’t return in full force after the hurricane.Yeah, maybe it's indicative that many fans are down on this team.
And this is "get away" day for folks from New England who have to get their kids back to school.Could also be that the snow birds/tourists didn’t return in full force after the hurricane.
At these prices! This game may take less than an hour
Dugie is not a smart ball player.Verdugo still running into outs. At least he was busting it out of the box. Nice swing.
