I still kind of like him from when he was a Yankee, and I think that ended in 2016.
Eovaldi has some real mental toughness. We knew that. As amazing as that world series game was, it's good that he gets a chance to be known for a different kind of playoff heroics.
It's also cool that he gets a chance against the Astros, given that really his only bad playoff game was that game 4 in 2021.

Fuck. Texas missed an opportunity to tack on last inning. This could get tense.
But how the fuck does Eovaldi get these guys to chase so much? Not doing that is their trademark. That was a good performance, despite the 3 runs.

You mean the 9th inning in relief where he should have gotten out of it with no runs witha good ump? Bad outing, sure?
Jeez -- Astros get it done with their B bullpen. Two rookies and a JAG. Texas did a great job of getting into the bullpen, but not a very good job once they got there.
Good thing time of possession is not a stat in baseball. They ran into a buzzsaw with this bullpen. Got a man to third and he was doubled off in 2 seconds.
