45 pitches the last two days. I’d avoid him unless there was an emergency like needing to close out an extra inning game and there are no other good options.

Anybody know of a Sons of Pete Incaviglia or the like Rangers message board? Never won the whole thing and it was practically right there for the taking with only a 5'6" second baseman in the way. Poor bastards. Now they have to win two in Houston. Oh, wait...

Watched highlights. The ball that Thomas hit wasn’t even a terrible pitch. Sure, a little bit up. But even with only 94, that’s a ball you expect at most to be hit opposite field, otherwise it’s an out. Thomas got all the way around it and hooked it over 400 feet with a three-quarter swing. I kind of think you take that swing on that pitch most times, but of course in the playoffs you get one chance and Thomas had a really quick bat and got it perfectly.

But as pointed out on Twitter immediately after, he will appeal it and it almost certainly won't go into effect until next season.

My wife is outside the stadium. She was there for a work trip. She said she saw a sign saying 2001 NL champs. They won the World Series that year. Not sure why you would have a sign that didn’t just say World Series champions. She also saw and got a picture with Chris Bianco and his wife. I’m jealous.
