Now 42-96 with a run differential of -297.

If my math is right, that projects to a -348.65 run differential. So close...

With 24 games left, they need to lose by 2.2 runs a game to set the record.

From .272 ball in the first half to .362 in the 2nd half. Progress!

That record in blowouts is something. 7-38, -240 run differential.

The fact that they're only half a game back of KC is wild when you compare run differential (-300 vs - 179).

First of all, before updating, I have to note that the A's yesterday gave Miguel Cabrera a $90 bottle of wine as a retirement present. As if that's not funny enough on its own,. Cabrera is a recovering alcoholic. Well done again, OAK!!!

9 games left, OAK is 46-107, on pace for 49-113.

Their run differential is -333, on pace for -353. Repeating from earlier in the thread, the 1932 Red Sox (sorry) have the worst run differential for a full season post-1900 at -349, so it's gonna be close!!!
