I have the opposite problem of most people in this final, I have been rooting for both Djokovic and Krygios all tournament and really don't know who to root for here. In a vacuum, if this was the only tournament in the history of the world, I would root for Kyrgios but I'd really like Djokovic to end up first on the Grand Slam list and he may be running out of chances.
FWIW, not that anyone really needs to explain their love or hatred for any sports figure/team, but here is why I have rooted for Djokovic basically his whole career. When he emerged, Federer and Nadal were already dominant and clearly historically great players and it seemed like anyone else's ceiling was #3. Federer was so good and seemingly effortless, that's no fun to cheer for for me. Nadal was obviously great from day 1 but his way of wearing down opponents with incredible overspin ground strokes was not super aesthetically pleasing to me, although I did always root for him to beat Federer. Djokovic had a bit of the rebellious punk to him from day 1, plus his game was return-centric which I have always gravitated to. His acting like an asshole about Covid certainly hasn't helped my fandom but I'm too locked in long-term to change now, unless he did something a lot worse.
Anyway, it's incredible for any player in any sport to challenge for the best ever alltime, but it's even more incredible when Federer and Nadal were there doing the same thing and a few years more established, like if Steph Curry was drafted two years after both Jordan and LeBron (in this hypothetical, those two are about the same age) and won a bunch of titles anyway.
