Towns thought he was a star and would get the "don't foul him out" calls .... should have known, there is only room for 2 stars on the court when Malloy and Foster get together (well and apparently Marcus Morris for some reason)

I mean I had him at 8 fouls. You aren’t implying that this crew fouled him out are you?

Meh, he committed 6 fouls (not the 6 he got called for though), but there were several they could have let go, and did for other guys like PG.

This crew is exceptionally bad, and if you're going to make the horrific Morris call because you don't want to "effect the game" you can't then turn around and not take into account the situation on Towns.

As a side note, this Clippers team is not scaring anyone... you get an all-time choke job from the opponent's best player, you get the benefit of the officiating, you opponent shoots 60% on FTs.... and you still might lose?

Why are the Clippers trying to hunt Pat Beverley instead of just feeding George and getting FTs?

They tried to on Towns 5th when he pushed one guy to the floor right in front of Malloy…..and he let it go. Then one dribble later Towns ran over another. The 6th was another that was one you had to call.

Every time I see Pat Beverley, I think to myself that must be how other fans think about Marcus Smart. He's just a ball of fire, and frankly, I'm here for it.

Anthony Edwards is a fucking superstar. If KAT can get his head out of his ass in big games, that's a team that could be very good, for a very long time. I enjoyed the hell out of that last night.

Beverly seems more prone to insane/shithead behavior (I can't imagine Smart going crazy when winning a play in game, nor can I see him shoving Chris Paul in the back during a timeout at the end of a playoff series) but he's definitely one of those guys that you hate when he's on the other team and love him on your team.

Yeah I’d never expect Smart to say, try and land a flying back kick to the upper body of someone like Klay Thompson or anyone like that. ;)

Except Beverley isnt good at basketball. He's in Minnesota because the clipps had janitors on their d league squad that were better than him.

Also shitting on KAT is rough. Their coach did everything in his power to ensure he'd have an awful game last night.

Coach missed his first 7 shots for him and made him run over defenders and go over their backs for rebounds? C’mon now. KAT has been god awful in every Clipper game this year and hasn’t adapted to playing against a smaller defender.

I never said Beverley was good at basketball, or equal to Smart. I said he is the kind of guy that you hate, and I imagine fans of other teams hate Smart the same way. Brad Marchand is another Boston guy who I feel falls into the same bucket.

KAT's coach had nothing to do with KAT sucking balls yesterday. He had 3 fouls, his coach gave him some rope, and KAT proceeded to make his coach look like an idiot, not the other way around. Then his coach brings him in the 2nd half, and instead of maybe, you know, being careful not to pick up a fifth, he goes and trucks one dude, and gets away with it, and then trucks another dude literally one dribble later.

With his hair, face, and voice combo, Trae Young is immensely lucky he’s really good at basketball

These commentators are awful. Are they even paying attention? Showing replay of Jones’ clean block and questioning the call while completely ignoring the obvious foul that was called on Hayes as Johnson was lifting up.

Home court advantages really showing up these first two nights of post-season basketball.

I'm not a fan of Jones and Doris. She thinks everyone is a great player and he can't drop enough cool guy catch phrases.

Beverly is actually pretty good, I don't know what you are talking about. Solidaly above average overall, obviously with his talent more on D than O.

He's not a world beater on offense but he's good enough he definitely deserves to be out there for his D. Career 38% on 3s too. Smart could only dream.

The fouls were on him for playing stupid but how could you defend Finch running the most basic sets and no creativity to get his best player going?

I think Finch did try some things, but in general they resulted in Towns driving wildly to the basket throwing up a prayer while hoping to get fouled. Sometimes the defense takes away what you want to do and there isn't really much to do about it.

And maybe instead of giving the coach shit because their best player struggled we should be giving him praise for finding a way to have Russell and Edwards go off for a combined 59 points

I mean consistently getting your big and best player the ball 30 feet from the basket so he can be double teamed and swarmed isnt exactly a great game plan.

And any didnt play well. He hit 5 mainly wide open pull up 3s and only a handful of shots outside of that. But in today's nba you can hit some 3s and look like a hall of famer for a night.
