My guess is that the Wolves make a difficult decision and bite the bullet by moving on from Kyle Anderson first. That's far easier and less of an admission of defeat than shipping Gobert off for draft capital and end-of-bench lint.

Everyone knew this deal had the potential to blow up on Minnesota including probably the Wolves. It would be surprising, however, if they moved on this quickly absent an incredible offer.
It's true that everyone knew this trade could blow up, but there's "blowing up" and then there's "your big acquisition is punching teammates in the face while getting the 8th seed in the first year of the deal."

I suppose they could reset things, pick-wise, by dealing KAT and building around ANT/Gobert. That is probably more palatable than the full blowup they really need.

Conley assured everyone that once they get in today everything will be fine bc “we’re all grown men.”

Somewhere about 40 minutes north of Akron is a man chuckling as he reads that.

We are a contender/playoff team, not a tanker looking to give guys tryouts. That’s why he ended up with a lottery team once they were eliminated.
Yeah, but if the C's thought Samanic could be a rotation player for them, they would have taken some steps to try to keep him in the fold. In the end, I suspect, they see him as JAG.

Donovan has to be happy with how this year turned out, yesterday was just the cherry on top.

Whatever perceived value the Gobert contract had before yesterday just evaporated. Underwater. There are no draft picks at the end of the Rudy Rainbow.

Narrator: they rolled over Friday.
Their lack of effort on Friday was absolutely stunning. They were the team with something to play for, and they looked like they wanted to be anywhere but the Garden.

The Nick Nurse Era is ending on the lowest of notes.

The more that I read about this, the less of a big deal it appears to be. In fact Kyle seems to be the a—hole here. In any case, Gobert hit Anderson in the shoulder, it was Draymond who hit his teammate in the face.
