Embiid with a two handed shove to Collins back -no call.
Then Embiid flops on a defensive rebound and draws a foul.

Agreed. Suns Hawks would be super fun. This Hawks team is easy to root for
Or maybe not. That possession was a Nate McMillan Special.
Now Doc will show him how it’s done.
I was just thinking the same. He must be loving the cheesesteaksDoc has gained a lot of weight.
too many cheesesteaks and Wawa pastriesDoc has gained a lot of weight.
Easier to inbound from halfcourt than under the basket. Why do you not use the review to set your play and save the timeout in case you can’t get the ball in?
That will be the impetus to get Ben into a 30% three point shooter next season.Simmons on the bench, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
How do you do that with someone #1 overall for you
He needs off this roster so bad.Simmons on the bench, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

What's a good roster for a guy whose range is 4 feet?He needs off this roster so bad.
And then there's Embiid (0–12 in the 2nd half, basically physically collapsiing in the final minutes). This game was kind of a rock fight, especially at the end. You can see the clear difference between some older players with playoff experience versus the younger guys, some of whom appear to consider a playoff crunch time possession to be the same as a casual non conference game in February.
Its not even the D, its contested shots early in the clock.
Any team without a great center. He would be an incredible point center for the Celtics, for example. What's a good roster for a guy whose range is 4 feet?
I'd take him in a second. But was just talking with my son tonight about how just one year ago you could have offered me Simmons or Young and the answer "Simmons" would have been immediate. Now, it's less obvious.Any team without a great center. He would be an incredible point center for the Celtics, for example.
His defense is better than I expected coming into the league. Thought he was too passive. That has played out in some ways for sure, and the lack of improvement (from a very high baseline) is a huge issue.Simmons is deeply flawed. It will show up on some teams more than others, but the flaws will remain.
I'll be honest, I'm pretty shocked the guy isn't a top 25 player in the NBA and can't be one of the top 2 guys on a title team by age 25. Even as a 3rd banana he needs a specific roster around him.
He has completely leveled off (maybe even slight decline?) over his 4 year career. What a disappointment.
Agree on the D, frankly that's the only thing keeping him even in the discussion for a fringe All-Star/top 25-30ish player. His defense is better than I expected coming into the league. Thought he was too passive. That has played out in some ways for sure, and the lack of improvement (from a very high baseline) is a huge issue.
Simmons on D and Young on O would be a great playerI'd take him in a second. But was just talking with my son tonight about how just one year ago you could have offered me Simmons or Young and the answer "Simmons" would have been immediate. Now, it's less obvious.
Simmons is the same guy that first walked onto the court as a pro. Same guy.
