There is a chance David Johnson has a big game tonight and Texans fans talk themselves into him, only to see their spirits crushed yet again when reality sets in.

I don't think I'm rooting for that option. I think I'd rather see their painful resignation right off the bat.
It will likely be the former. 610 should be great tomorrow.

I actually had a drink with David Johnson about a year and a half ago. Really great dude.
I hope he does well and has a great career. I can't help but fear that he is not set up for success at all given the circumstances of his arrival.

One of those things I'd love to be wrong about, but I can't help but be like: "don't even string these poor Texans fans along, please."

lol at Collinsworth's sanctimony about the obvious correctness of going for it on fourth down

Chiefs really win on scheme and talent on offense. Mahomes is great, obviously, but for all his off script prowess that offense really has no trouble at all moving the ball on throws that require very little of him.

I’m not saying I’m going to an outdoor sporting event with 25% capacity any time soon, but I’d do that with proper precautions over an indoor restaurant or church any day of the week -

Given the choice, I say no to all three.

I usually get together with a group of about a dozen friends to watch football on Sundays; already told them no thanks for this season.................

Let's just say that the internet was not super happy with the Chiefs fans booing during the show of unity before the game.
When is the internet ever super happy with Chiefs fans?

It annoys the shit out of me they got to celebrate a Super Bowl win.

No offense meant, but it is so odd to me that people think this way

It's odd that people want to avoid crowds during a pandemic?
Crowds I would understand. Your friends, who presumably are not random strangers, no.

I understand why some people aren’t comfortable flying, or attending a sports event. I just don’t get the complete isolation thing.

The team speed is just the cherry to enhance it all.

Well unless your friends are taking adequate precautions, it makes total sense. And if they are going to NFL viewing parties, that is not a good sign that they are taking things seriously. I have not spent any time in person with any friends since early March. And that does not seem unreasonable at all to me considering the circumstances. But I guess we all need to make our own choices about what's acceptable and I can understand if people have a different opinion.

Yeah, like I said earlier, no offense meant. Everyone is different. It’s just something hard to personally wrap my mind around. As someone who has flown twice since June for vacations, been to several indoor dining restaurants in various states, etc. I just have zero concerns at this point being out and about. Like you said though, to each their own.

Closer game than I expected so far. CC has mentioned it several times, but it’s pretty odd not having either of these QBs taking any real deep shots down field.

Not that anyone cares but my fantasy opponent left Watkins and CEH on his bench this week.

Agreed on all points.

Like you, I haven't seen my friends since the Super Bowl in February and that's my choice.

If they want to hang out every Sunday, good for them.

And as you said, we'll all free to make out own choices about what's acceptable.
