I need to make sure I'm on record this season--the "IN-COM-PLETE" chant is stupid af.

Again, can someone fucking tell Tessitore his job is to call the game, not pump the tires of the promoter's new hot middleweight prospect

These guys are going to be a handful for us defensively.

I want to apologize in advance for bringing this up and piling on but on the off chance that anyone reading this works in Bristol, why are you doing this to me? Do you actually think your broadcast team is good?

My wife doesn't actually pay attention to the games (unless it's the Pats) and she just told me the announcers are annoying as hell.

I’m listening to a podcast with th TV muted. It pisses me off because I like the sounds of the game but I cannot even ignore these guys.

The rest of the country has to think the same way about these three nitwits, right?

Please tell me I'm right?

What in the world was ESPN thinking putting together this hot garbage.

Are the Broncos this good? Is the KC D this bad?

KC has beaten the 2-2 LAC, 1-3 SF, and 1-2-1 Pitt.
Broncos have beaten the 2-2 SEA, 1-3 Oak, and lost to the Ravens 3-1

Given the Pats struggles with Den and KC (in the regular season) seems pertinent going forward. I can't tell. KC offense does seem legit.

Was Hill's motion even legal on that pre-snap stuff? Looked like Arena football

And despite the announcers slobbering over the play, it gained 1 yard, before the penalty negated it

"In-com-plete!". Denver fans have clearly learned that cheer watching their team's offense over the past few seasons.

its like listening to the colorman on a baseball telecast "yes, he spent 3 years at akron where he had a torn thumb ligament before moving on to evansville where he led the AA league in getting git in the head"

You're precisely the sort of fool who posts in fan board game threads and says he's above the trivial matters that bother the rest of the posters in a game thread.

In fact, you might be their poster child

As long as he's off the line there's nothing wrong with that play. He's lining up in the backfield.

Of course, if some other team ran it against the Ravens, Harbaugh would be running to the rules committee.
The issue though is that if he was lined up in the backfield then it was by no more than a couple of inches.
When they are lined up if the TEs head was in front of the centers hip then he wouldn’t be consider as in the backfield and he wouldn’t have been eligible. They showed the replay and it was very very close. The refs easily could have thrown a flag on this particular play because the TE lined up too close to the center and because it’s the Ravens I say screw em they cheated

If complaining about MNF announcers in a game thread is wrong, I don't want to be right. And if you are fine with the "white noise" that is cool too. That said, we should be allowed to joke about Jason Witten needing to recharge his battery cells and clear his cache at halftime while Booger eats nachos and sips Fanta above the halftime performers. This is Roger Goodell's 'Murica after all. 'MURICA!

In short, if you aren't with us, you are against us!

Yeah I thought they fell into a sinkhole circa 2003.

Incidentally, where was that concert? Was it live (I think no?)? Why does no one have any color?
It may have been taped back when you were in middle school. Of course, Cameron Diaz (the First Lady of Good Charlotte) was 32 back then!

I'm 107% certain that this is complete and utter bullshit
I have to admit, I'm with Eustis on this. I basically don't hear the announcers unless something happens in a game that I'm specifically interested in. I watch so much sports, and football in particular, that I basically know what they're going to say before they say it. I don't even know who the announcers are most of the time. I completely forgot Jason Witten was one of the announcers until someone mentioned in the thread, and I couldn't tell you who the other guy is, and I haven't missed a MNF game yet. Once you tell me, I'll be like "oh yeah, him.." but all of their voices sound about the same to me and there is very little I find distinguishable from one guy to the next.

That said, I don't care about the complaining about the announcers in the game thread. If that's your thing, have at it. When I do listen to them, I generally think they suck. I just don't really listen to them. I pretty much only look at the television when the play is happening, and when it's not, I'm watching the computer following boxscores, or watching other games, etc. and I just tune out what's going on the tv during that time.

I listen less to announcers when my team is playing. I think I know more than they do in those cases.

Your problem is that you are a very casual sports fan. Come back to us when you watch sports more than maybe once a month.

**And yes DoTB, I am totally fucking with you - you may well be the most committed sports fan on this site. I have mad respect but that doesn't validate it or mean that you aren't totally fucking deranged.**
