Killing it!Arod is killing it. Like Barkley in the early years
Locash? Really?
Depends, how muscular is your daughter? In the pregame, Arod says that Andrew Miller is the guy you want your daughter to marry.
I guess so but can you inherit handedness? In the pregame, Arod says that Andrew Miller is the guy you want your daughter to marry.
Maybe I'm misremembering, but I'm pretty certain the Cubs had it leaked as early as August 2011 that they were interested in hiring Theo to be more than a GM. Once Theo showed interest in the role, it's not clear if Theo was less interested in sticking around, or if HWL were less interested in trying to retain him. I've always believed Theo just wanted to move on.From RedSox.com
"Theo Epstein grew up two miles from Fenway Park before living his dream of running Boston's front office for nine years. Ultimately, Epstein decided he needed a new challenge, so he went to the Cubs to try to put an end to a championship drought even longer than the 86-year dry spell he helped end"
"Epstein decided he needed a new challenge"
Agree or disagree?
Uh, the Sox are pretty much a lock next year. Some of the young Cub players seem a little too hot-doggy & entitled to a WS win. They need an excruciating loss in Game 7 for a "character building" experience. Then, they can win next year.
Cleveland and the Indians have been shat on for years & deserve a little love.
Plus, it's Tito! Duh!
Yeah, should have put a qualifier on that!Uh, the Sox are pretty much a lock next year.
+1Tito is pulling this off with a far inferior team. I'm loving every minute of it. Suck it, Joe. This Cubs team will probably get some eventually with all that talent, but this is fun. I'll never forget Lester Lack and Ross for 2013, but I'll ride with Playoff Tito any day. Plus, did you see Nap in the dugout? Team first gets me every time.
http://www.si.com/tech-media/2016/10/31/world-series-game-5-cubs-indians-sunday-night-footballIn the world of television ratings, this is a shocker: Baseball crushed football on a Sunday night
Per Austin Karp of the Sports Business Daily: Fox’s broadcast of Game 5 of the World Series between the Cubs and Indians drew a 15.3 overnight rating, topping the Cowboys-Eagles overtime game on NBC by 32% (11.6 for Sunday Night Football). According to Sports Media Watch, it’s the first time since 2013 that the World Series has topped SNF head-to-head.
Given national broadcasts of Cowboys’ games traditionally blow away all in its path, it’s a stunning number.
Hendricks is fine, but the way they've been going to the pen earlier and earlier and there's a DH and he's a free agent it wouldn't surprise me to see Chapman in for more than 3 innings.Don't you think the Cubs starters are there strength the last two games?
Chapman vs. MillerWhat are the chances that Maddon just says fuck it and starts Chapman in game 7?
With his domestic violence history, I care if he dies on the mound. If Miller was also a FA it would be more likely, but Cleveland needs him to be healthy. No one gives a shit if Chapman dies on the mound.*
*exaggerated for effect. One or two people care.
That's kind of my point. With his domestic violence history, I care if he dies on the mound.
Jeurys Familia says "Hello!"With his domestic violence history, I care if he dies on the mound.
Somewhere Bill Corgan just broke a chair though.
Knew it!Billy Corgan is a dick about everything.
Why should they? Familiarity? Red Sox did get to Mariano, but I don't know how many years that took. Mariano had the one pitch and it might be the most ridiculous long time stranglehold any pitcher had over the league.I think it may come down to whether the Cubs can finally get to Miller.
I think if they can get through his seeming invincibility, the Indians may not recover quick enough.
