Brandon Marshall has been very impressive so far, apart from a lost fumble today and that ridiculous lateral against the Eagles. He's the first Jet to have 4 100+ yard receiving games in a row since Don Maynard in 68-69.
He does some stupid shit but he is physically gifted and seems like he is having a blast out there. He's probably better than Keyshawn in terms of raw talent but Keyshawn would never do the stupid shit Marshall does. We haven't had a lot of talent at receiver.

Jets TE, LBs and QB are not that good but everything else is solid.

In case you're not a pats fan, Bill is the name of their coach, Tom is the name of their QB and Jimmy is the name of their backup QB.

The QB in the game against the Jets is going to get a beating. I say Bill should let Jimmy take that beating since this is not an important game (to pats fans). As a neutral party, what do you think?

Isn't this site supposed to be above this kind of posting?

I agree with dbn. You're off the rails here. I never said the game wasn't important. There are only 16 games in a season in the NFL so each one matters. I guess you're upset about something.

I think my sig answers any questions we might have about luckiestman's childhood lead paint consumption.

1,2. Sheldon's coming for you

3,4 better block some more

5, 6 there's Revis with a pick six

7, 8 Better watch film late

9, 10 Brady sacked again

Edit: the proper response for this (for 80s horror fans) would be "in your dreams"

My job is to not get banned this week
rhyming 6 with 6? Come on.

I had something about Revis having 3 picks and changed it. You're probably right. No you're definitely right.

My problem was the original rhyme is crucifix and that got in my head and I overlooked the obvious. Otherwise I'm pleased with it. Always nice to honor a Wes craven creation when discussing football.

You think Wes Craven came up with that melody/rhyme pattern?
No but I tried to match it to Nightmare on elm st as close as possible:

Freddy's coming for you

Better lock you door

Get a crucifix

Better stay up late

Never sleep again

Per source, Jets already are making calls about potential quarterbacks who may be available to be signed or traded.-PFT

Their season is sunk if Geno is at the helm the rest of the year.

I feel so, so bad for the Jets fans.

Remember when ESPN tried passing this team off as a threat to the Pats? That was cute

Forget the Fitz injury, wtf happened to the defense today? For all the talk about not letting the Pats beat them twice, the D was a no show today

This was the first really bad outing by the Jets, so they get the benefit of the doubt. Plus, Raiders are not a bad team at all.

The injuries are going to be a huge factor moving forward. But they have a cupcake schedule like the Pats do. My bet is still on them making the WC as long as Fitz returns.

If you put Geno and/or Mallett (mercy) and the like, and the season is now a crapshoot.

A pass? Really? Their defense did not give them anything close to a fighting chance today. Here are the Raiders first five drives
78 yards, TD
76 yards, TD
78 yards, TD
15 yards, missed FG
(kneel)
93 yards, TD

Literally no stops. I get that Oakland is decent but for instance Denver shut that offense down.

Has anyone checked out Ivory's stats today? 15 for 17. For a QB, or a lead off hitter, those are HOF numbers. For a RB, those are doghouse numbers.
Mangold out really hurt here. I think he (ivory)is still hurt to. We got a lot of depth problems starting to reveal themselves

Try and watch the short version of the game, the Jets D played even worse than the stats look. The missed tackling was really something.

Some good entertainment over at Gang Green.  A sample from the various Geno threads...

Who do you think is more accurate? Geno Smith in a football game or Hellen Keller at a shooting range? Discuss.

The rumor I'm sure will get started tomorrow will be the Jets inquiring on Cutler. Geno looked abysmal today and Fitz will miss at least a couple weeks.

Also Cutler has a well documented man crush with Marshall.

My grandfather told me that 'Take 5' was a gift from God for Dave Brubeck because he didn't believe Dave could come up with that piece. My poem is sort of like that. I'm merely a vessel.

@AlbertBreer: MRI tomorrow for Ryan Fitzpatrick. If need be, Jets will look at QB options after that. Ryan Mallett won't be one of them.

Had it on radio for awhile and the Jets announcers kept using the word "gashed,' as in "the Jets' defense gashed again by another big play."  Seems like the Raiders ripped off a 20+ yard play whenever they needed it.

I haven't played madden in years but the best way I could describe it is it looked like the Raiders had a turbo/boost. The Jets were in decent position a lot of times just looked like they were wearing cement shoes when it came time to make a tackle

Ivory must still be hurt. 32 carries for 58 yards last two weeks.

Matched up against Revis this week, Cooper still caught five-of-eight targets for 46 yards, and saw one of those incompletions overthrown when he had Revis beaten for what could—and should—have been a big gain on the play. Cooper was dropped off on Revis Island seven games into his rookie season, and by halftime, had constructed a small ferry port and an airport terminal.

From rotoworld:

Chris Ivory says "missed assignments" from the offensive line are one of the reasons he's struggled the past two weeks.

Ivory has been stymied for 58 yards on 32 carries over the past two weeks. "It starts up front," Ivory said. "We have to do a better job up front and just know our assignments." Ivory noticed a "lot of missed assignments" against the Raiders in Week 8. It's the first time Ivory has told his line to pick it up this season. C Nick Mangold's (neck) return would be a huge boost against the Jaguars.

Yeah, but is Ivory even *trying* to be a good teammate?

You can take Rex out of the room, but...well, I'm not sure where I'm going with that. Might as well blame the blockers!
