Looks like Webb will play.
The Ravens have cut cornerback Derek Cox again.
The team parted ways with the six-year veteran Saturday morning, which is the second time he has been waived in the last week. The Ravens initially cut him last Saturday during the cutdown to the 53-man roster, but then re-signed him Tuesday.
A corresponding roster move has not yet been announced. The Ravens will likely want to fill the open roster before Sunday’s opener against the Cincinnati Bengals.
The decision to cut Cox could be seen as a positive sign about the status of top cornerback Lardarius Webb, who is listed as questionable for Sunday’s opener with the Bengals because of a back injury. Webb missed the entire preseason with the injury, but was as full participant in practice this week.
