Hmmm, he's sounded better than usual to me.
He's been OK at his baseline, and I started thinking about it when I saw what you posted, I've been a bartender for 20+ years so I am very aware of paying attention to people's speech patterns so I most likely notice it more than most

Catching up on stream. The B's have had dominant stretches where it looked like they were playing on the PK when they weren't. When this team is mobile and passes go from moving players to moving players, they get great looks. Lots of smart hockey from the B's.

Well, I've been a drunk for a long time so I know a thing or two about distorted speech, too. :)

I haven't noticed any butcherings but maybe I haven't been listening closely.

The only hockey I watch are Bruins' games. It seems this year that there are more broken sticks (and dropped ones) littering the ice than I can recall seeing before.
