Got thr B's game on the TV and able to use my cable co app to stream the Pats game to my tablet. No surfin necessary.
(Easier to follow football on the small screen than hockey)

It's still 10 times better than flying. Walk up to the cafe car, order 3 beers, profit.
There's always the quiet car too. The Acela rules.
Oh definitely better than flying. May have to look into this more beer thing. I've heard such good things about it.
The worst part is he bought the guy next to him a beer. What about me random talking man? What about me?
I've been considering doing the Acela to NYC for the weekend to surprise the wife. Seems like a low-stress way to do everything, and just bring a mini-suitcase with a couple changes of clothes.
It's easily the best way to travel. You walk on the train 10 mins before it leaves, you stretch out and walk around, and have I mentioned the booze car?
If you do, let me know I can give you a bunch of tips. I've probably done 60+ trips on it.

Also, I think dogfish 90 minute is overrated. Is that a controversial statement?
Also also, do it amcghie. T4p is right, awesome way to travel. A TV would be nice tonight but no real complaints. Get to south station, if you're early grab a beer or a pretzel. Waltz on the train, grab a seat, and chill. There's also the chance that you'll get to see someone thrown off because they bought a ne regional ticket and got on the wrong train. That was fun. Especially since we were delayed and I'm pretty sure the regional was ahead of us at the time. Oops.
I don't completely have the Penn Station tricks down yet but there's no way I'd choose to fly to ny instead of taking the Acela. I'd consider doing it for DC too frankly.

I usually download movies/shows to my iPad for the trip and that's good enough. Although I get cell service all the way down so if you can use that as a hotspot you're golden too.

I did it to Philly a few months back and would definitely do it for longer distances. Also - free WiFi and in seat power outlets accentuate the awesomeness of the beverage cart. I really wish there were more (economic and logistically relevant ) options for train travel along the east coast .

Could Rinaldo be more of a fucking dick head. I've never seen a fourth liner come off like that much of a prick in a home broadcast interview.
