Rules question I've always wondered about...

How come offensive lineman are allowed to get set, then point, even stand up sometimes but it not be a false start?

Okay this film room is awesome. Very interesting tidbits being put out there.

Should put the live play full screen if they aren't currently analyzing / replaying anything though.

I'm still shocked by the three-layered incompetence on Auburn's failed 3rd down play.

1) Complete breakdown by FSU secondary
2) Terrible throw, probably 10 feet behind where it needed to be to hit WR in stride
3) WR actually did a decent job of getting back to the ball and then straight up alligator-armed it.

Rarely do you see such deep suckitude in the title game.

It's about 4 or 5 seconds behind, would probably look funny if they did is the only thing I can think of

You must have missed ND last year. That would have barely scratched the surface.

Mine's actually ahead of the ESPN HD telecast, but it's tough to fully watch on on ESPNews based on coverage and camera angles.

Is it? The little screen in the upper left (ESPN Live) looks sync'd with the big screen zoomed out view of the field.  Maybe it catches up on certain plays or I'm just not seeing it. Either way, minor peeve.

Great question.  Especially when the center suddenly lifts his head and turns around to look at the QB.  What happens if he does that and the nose tackle jumps in.  Can't he rightly say that the center's quick movement caused him to jump?

Huge flipping of the field right here for Auburn.  Should get awesome field position.

One thing these teams have that most college teams do not are awesome kicking games.  Both have fantastic punters and kickers, which is such a rarity nowadays.

That's really weird. I'll watch a play on espn, flip to news, and then see a couple seconds of what I just saw.
Technology is funny.

ESPNews should not be allowed to go to commercial at the same time as ESPN. I get the advertisers are paying money, but it would be so much better if we could flip over and get a 30 second analysis of the last series.

I think the quick pass to the tight end and the little screen like they just scored with, is there all night for Auburn.  FSU seems intent on bringing the rush and blitzing, and it looks like Auburn can beat them with those quick passes any time they want.

Auburn's defense says "fuck you"

EDIT: That's a fuck up. Good god.

The BCS Film Room coverage on ESPN News is tremendous. So great to hear input from people who actually know what the fuck they're talking about. They're all giving each other a chance to speak without dominating the commentary. It's like having all of these guys in your living room.

Kudos to the Worldwide Leader for taking a leap and offering such a variety of dedicated viewing modes. Best corporate decision they've made since 30-for-30 and partnering with The V Foundation.
