He was positioned to save the shot from the point. It was headed 5 feet wide and hit a guys skate and redirected in.

if it was going 5 feet wide he didn't need to be that far out. Whatever though, it happened, score a goal Bruins! Stop it with this frustrating ass season!

He's got to be that far out just in case the puck is on net.

Just really shitty puck luck.

Kelly's brutal turnover at the offensive blue line set that in motion. That really sucks. Can't be dropping points to teams like the Senators.

I know it's going to be considered crazy talk - but the Bruins should really consider trading Chara at the deadline to a team that thinks he could put them over the top. He hasn't been great and age isn't going to make him any better.

What he pulls in could be franchise altering.

I don't think you are crazy at all TSC, but I'm not sure they would get back what you think they would get back, because Chara has been a shell of his former self this season.

To me, the only untouchables on the team are Dougie and Bergeron.

While hockey is the main sport where getting a ticket to the Playoffs is all that you need to win it all, I would support something like this.

We're going to hear more about "effort" and "desire" and it's all crap. They're not a good team. You can't lose as much offensive talent as they have over the past couple of years and expect no consequences.

It's starting to get to the point that I don't want Chiarelli to commit any assets to a trade for this year's team.

Agreed.  With the talk from Dreger that he's getting "desperate" I'm a little concerned at what he might do.

Does anybody have a read on the zone time in this game? It seemed like the Bs spent 3/5ths of the game in Ottawa's end, chopping cordwood and eking out a lead. Ottawa enters the zone cleanly (no dump and chase) leading directly to chances and getting goals with five seconds of reasonable effort and some luck. Kills me. Anyway, I'd love to see the zone time—just don't know where to look.

I don't think you're crazy, but as has already been said, this may not be the best time. I'd write off this season as lost and see if I couldn't move some of the salary deadwood (Kelly comes straight to mind).

Now, if things haven't improved after 15-20 games next season, then I put Chara and Seidenberg both out there. Hamilton is certainly ready for a top pair role, and giving Both guys close to a year post-recovery could give them a little zip back.

If you wait 15-20 games into next season you risk making both this year and next complete wastes.

It's shocking that the President's Trophy winner from last year could be so awful this year, but that's what happens when too many guys get old all at once, you lose key scorers to free agency and others to trades out of cap necessity, and the team doesn't have enough talent left to work through playmaker injuries. This is exactly what I feared would happen once Iginla left, and I've been mulling that Seguin trade for months and months and months now and have reluctantly concluded it's one the team will bitterly regret going forward. They don't have the talent to be able to aboard the departure of a 22 year old player who can score 50. Iginila's 30 last year helped bridge that gap, but of course he took the long contract elsewhere.

And honestly Rask has been crap this year, has been crap since the Montreal series last year, and his crappiness started right when his kid was born (his whole routine is undoubtedly changed and who could blame him, but he's not the same guy he was all of last year).

And thus here we are. All we lack is Dave Lewis behind the bench to remind us of who this year's team resembles.

I think a team will look at his leadership, his experience, and hope he's still recovering from his injury and due to rebound. I think you could reasonably expect a good pro player, a high end prospect, and a first round pick for him.
