Last year's President's Trophy winners find themselves behind Pittsburgh, Buffalo, and the Islanders for the final playoff spot in the East. In other words, the Cats have been doggin' it, and last night's loss to the Kings isn't helping their cause.

And unfortunately for them, they're running into the current President's Trophy frontrunner who just suffered their 6th regulation loss due to.. well... let's just call them two "defensive breakdowns" plus a gift-wrapped goal from the NHL officiating crew. In short, I wouldn't want to be the Panthers right now.

Two points, please.

People complain about Jack but the homerism of the Panthers broadcast team is pretty ridiculous.
I try to listen to all the other team announcers and the only difference between Jack and them is Jack gets very animated when Bruins get jobbed. Jack the times I have watched him will admit when the Bruins get away with something. Others spend tons of time trying to explain away clear penalties to their team.

Boston Metro
Wish I could get agitated about the bad PP. I can’t. They’ve had great PP’s and failed to win the Cup. They’ve had bad PP’s and won the Cup.

Good five on five teams do better in the playoffs.

Meanwhile….woohoo Smith!!!
