    It's Angel Hernandez btw.

    Red Sox acquire Zack Short

You implying racial undertones to that analysis without actually implying that there are racial undertones. It's like the old David Eckstein tropes before he became decent. You don't hear the same things being said about many African American players.

@Moviegoer what were your 3 reasons? Curious as to your 3 reasons to a fake Wikipedia entry

    R4/110 Javon Baker WR UCF

I'm showing my age but in the late 1980s and early 1990s the Giants had a wide receiver named Stephen the Touchdown Maker Baker. Caught a TD in the Bill's Super Bowl. Come to think of it, I think he spent time in the slammer for some reason.

How do you solve a problem like Yoshida?

I still don't get why posts like @Salem'sLot and others that were demanding the Sox DFA Youshida immediately. Assuming Devers can play 3rd, then Yoshida has a role on the team. Plus, he could be a great bat off the bench if a team starts a lefty but then brings in a righty.

Sox to trade for Garrett Cooper, Pablo Reyes DFA’d

I was at the game on Saturday. The park was pretty full although at times Fenway seemed to be taken over by Cubs fans. Turning back to Dalbach topic, one of the few times the park seemed to get excited was during Dalbach's at bar with the bases loaded. There was alot of cheering and rhythm...

Sox to trade for Garrett Cooper, Pablo Reyes DFA’d

It figures. Dalbach busts out of his slump today and he finds out after the game he will eventually be replaced by Garrett Cooper.

How do you solve a problem like Yoshida?

Well Duran has been struggling the past few days and could use a day off. Even before tonight his bat speed looked slower.

How do you solve a problem like Yoshida?

You all are acting like Yoshida is the worst outfielder since Greg Luzinski of the Phillies. Yoshida can't be that bad can he?

How do you solve a problem like Yoshida?

If Cora says Yoshida isn't injured then I guess we have to believe him. Yoshida did get hit by a pitch last night and was immediately pinch run for but I guess that probably had nothing to do with an injury and more to do with the game situation. Could Yoshida get in Cora's doghouse ala Alex...

Casas has a left rib fracture. Transferred to the 60 Day IL on 4/27.

Casas has improved greatly on defense this season. On the one hand, I don't put much trust in defensive numbers this early due to sample size issues but going strictly by the eye test, Casas seems to have improved. He seems to have gotten better at scooping throws out of the dirt and his range...

Bello to IL with lat tightness

Yeah the CHB"s and Bill Simmond's of the world will think it's all a big conspiracy and excuse for the Red Sox not to acquire another starting pitcher or spend any money at all.

The Pantheon of Boston announcers: Who you got?

I am just young enough to not have heard Hawk when he did the Red Sox games. When he was announcing Red Sox games did he use the hokey: You Can Put It on the Board .....YES!! " crap? Was Harrelson as much of a homer with the Red Sox as he was with Chicago?

Casas has a left rib fracture. Transferred to the 60 Day IL on 4/27.

On the pregame show on NESN on Saturday and Sunday, they showed O'Neil taking batting practice and laughing with the guys. I think Cora mentioned in his pre game presser that he was expected to play on Tuesday. Peter Abraham explained that O'Neil is suffering from "concussion symptoms" and not...

To err is human; three errors is the Red Sox: the defense thread.

Have you seen Hamilton at SS? He makes Cedanne seem like Ozzie Smith at shortstop. Wily is getting his shot in the outfield because O ' Neil collided with Devers and has a concussion. I thought Duran played competently in centerfield on Friday night. What did he do wrong? Need I remind you...

Casas has a left rib fracture. Transferred to the 60 Day IL on 4/27.

I was responding to the poster who wondered why the Red Sox would recall a 3rd string catcher. He's the only position player left on the 40 man roster literally. My suggestion: Put Mata on the 60 day IL and put Devers on either the 15 or 10 Day IL. I'm not sure how long the Red Sox can backdate...

Casas has a left rib fracture. Transferred to the 60 Day IL on 4/27.

They already had a short bench with Devers not playing. We already saw what can happen last week when the Red Sox played 2 men short and lost in extras. Even if it's just for a day, you need to have a fuller bench.

Wave of mutilation: The latest injuries

Whole projected starting infield from spring training is now out with injuries: Casas; Grissom, Story and Devers. We are not even done with April yet. I know every team has injuries but this is ridiculous

Red Sox, Ceddanne Rafaela agree to contract extension

As soon in the posts above, you were very careless. The numbers you quoted were for Bello's extension. Try to do better next time and don't commit an unforced error
