Brady's bit was good. Affleck was so bad I fast forwarded. Overall it was pretty funny and well done. I wish they had done more with some of the other players from the dynasty and not just Gronk and Edelman.

ADD: BB's comments at Amendola were great too.

Here
He can't possibly be this fucking stupid, can he?
Brady probably should have added in a few more words, to be fair, such as “if they were going to find that regardless,” but yes he obviously meant he’d lie for 20 million lol.

where the darn libs live
I thought it was great. The Glaser line to Brady about even Gronk knowing not to touch crypto was fantastic; "my know this not real money" slayed me.

Also, Affleck was the bomb tonight. Someone always either completely bombs or joke bombs. Affleck took one for the team tonight.

I know people dont like Kevin Hart's performance in this but I give him props for doing this fully live with no chance to pause if things break down. That takes way more skill than I think people realize and if he sucked I would chalk it up to that more than anything else.

For me, as not a specific fan of Brady, I thought he looked shitty when he got caught open mic on the whole Kraft massage thing.

I’ve only seen assorted clips, including the Kraft one, and I thought that moment was weak. You either go all in on a raunchy roast or you don’t. Kraft was there and participants, especially grown adults, are always fair game at these things.

I didn’t mind Kevin Hart. It looked like he was doing a good job moving around sitting with folks. It seemed like it was an intentional plan to having a friendly guy moving around. Disarming seems like it would be important at a thing like this

Just finished. Bledsoe's opening and Brady's closing were great. Nikki killed it.

Moss and Affleck should have sat it out.

I'm not a big Hart fan either but thought he was good.

So one cool thing about being there in person is seeing how often people go away from the script. Most of the athletes kept to the prompter, a few did some stylistic deviations, the comedians were more comfortable ad libbing. Kevin Hart was doing a lot of that completely off the cuff and on instinct. Skipping whole sections of prompter when he felt it was right, calling for moments, doing major segues without a guide. It was deeply impressive. My gf is a certified Kevin Hart hater who was converted after last night

For instance, after Randy Moss struggled, he skipped over all of the planned jokes about him and he had to improv enough to make up for that length and let the prompter operator get to where he wanted to be. He consistently did this all night.

Kids off-limits was totally the right call but I was disappointed to see Gisele get more sh*t thrown at her than Kraft since he was there and she wasn't and he honestly deserves more sh*t anyway.

The male comedians except Schultz, parts of Ross and most of Tom and Bert (and Ben) were a waste of time. Sam Jay had some good bits, but didn't enjoy her overall but I guess it opened up the Netflix/black lesbian jokes later,m but would have preferred a different Boston comic, even Burr.

Wonder if they asked Troy Brown, he would have been a much better Black guy from Marshall/WV and was with Tom for longer. Also wish they had someone from the Michigan days and/or Tara Reid as I mentioned previously.
Also Damon over Ben would have been the better call, wondering if he refused.
Also wish Danny said something.
I can see why Solder didn't get jokes his way, but Willie and him there was kind of a waste of a chair. At least Rodney got a compliment his way.

That would have been better as a 105-120 minute show than 185 for sure.

BB was great. I expect that is closer to what he is really like than his public persona.

Here was my BB Joke, "Everyone wonders who gets the credit, bit it belongs to Tom. Nobody wanted me as coach but Tom picked me, then everyone, especially Mr Kraft wanted to stick with the coach they had, I mean Mr Kraft was really pissed off when Tom chose me,. It took a lot of balls for Tom to have faith in me...

Me too, like jokes about the mother of his children screwing their jiu jitsu instructor were ok but that was over the line?

All in all it was pretty funny. Agree with most opinions here that Niki Glaser was hysterical; Segura and Bert K were completely unnecessary along with a couple of others. This could have been done in two hours and a lot smoother. TB took it like a man; you know the Giselle jokes hit close to home but that's part of it. Was Kardashian really was an awkward point too. Just not a fan though Tommy laid into her pretty good.

Putting Kraft off limits is total horseshit. I don't think you should make jokes about how he's become a shitheel since Myra died, but putting Orchids of Asia, Drunk Bob Kraft, off limits, reinforces my believe that Bob Kraft kind of sucks. He's the richest guy there, take a shot. They can do jokes about Edelman being a cheap Jew (I only watched like three guys and saw at least two) but Kraft can't be touched? Dumb.

I was hoping Tom would follow up his Ring BB walk of shame joke with, “Hey, I’m just happy he finally got some kind of job.”

Any chance there was some kind of contractual agreement in order to get Kraft to show up and Brady was just trying to make sure it wasn’t violated? I guess that’s the most charitable interpretation I can think of.

They were told not to go after Tom's kids, which I get but I was expecting Glaser to do a "if I call you daddy will you kiss me on the lips" type joke. But Glaser is amazing.

Hart I think did a good job as emcee and generally shepherding the roast. For a live roast (unlike the Comedy Central ones where we only get the best bits) the quality to duds ratio was very high.
Glaser said this morning on Stern that she had a daddy joke ready, but cut it out after there was discussion amongst all the comedians that kids were off limits.

My personal favorites were Nikki, Jeff Ross and Tony Hinchcliffe on the comedian side and Bledsoe, Brady, and Manning on the player side.

Tom Segura is really good at stand-up; I just think he and Bert were completely out of their element on this thing.

The only really awful work was turned in by Randy Moss and Kim Kardashian.

Yeah, Moss and Affleck weren’t great. But I cared more about Randy catching passes than delivering zingers.

Not sure if they showed it on Netflix but someone was joking about how as a fat comedian Bert should be partying and dying in a hotel room instead of sitting around with his family and he took out a bag of coke and winked. Audience went nuts, I was a little surprised? Like… do cops in the room just try to ignore that?

Overall great.

Pacing was obnoxiously slow. I wish they did a 30 min trim of some of the fat.

Moss was whatever. Affleck was bad.

The rest were good to great.

I'm a person who enjoys standup comedians when they come across my radar, but not a big fan of it. I spent 20 min today looking up Nikki and when she's in the area to see a live show. She fucking killed it.

That was Sam Jay and they only caught when Bert was pointing to his nose.

She goes to Boston regularly. Saw her twice at Laugh Boston over the past 10 years. Sam Jay is amazing, was a regular on Comedy Central stuff before she graduated to Netflix specials
