Couple of good long at-bats from O'Neill and Abreu to draw walks, then Enmanuel lined an RBI single to make it 1-0 Sox.

Breslow will be the on-air guest on NESN next inning, so we'll get to see how he spins the Giolito injury.

“We have internal options” is basically what he’s saying.

Whitlock drives me nuts. He’s basically a good 3 inning pitcher every third day. Can’t go long enough to start, can’t pitch every other day to be a good reliever.
Whitlock was good as a high-leverage reliever in 2021. Since then they have tried to make him a multi-inning reliever and a starter, but he hasn't stayed healthy or pitched effectively consistently in those roles.

I had no idea that Tampa sent $4 million to the Dodgers in the Glasnow deal. The cheapo Rays sent millions to the big money Dodgers, LOL WTF??

Story steals second and third, good to see more speed and athleticism this year.
And O'Neill goes yard!
Way out of the ballpark on that one.

Abreu gets to third on a CF hit the CFer couldn't see, Wong brings him in, Valdez hits another to CF that Siri couldn't see, but should have, to score Wong.

The radio broadcast is so far behind the mlb gameday that I turned it off. Nice to hear Rich Hill, but they didn't even mention that Masa was batting. He made the third out, which is disappointing with Hamilton on second, but there is more "drama" in my mind from reading gameday than from listening to 'EEI.

They have Rich Hill as a guest commentator. I haven’t heard him previously. He is excellent content wise (maybe a bit monotone) but otherwise he has been great with some great insights on the “art” of pitching.

Some minor league pitchers are taking the blame today but the major league hitters sure didn't do much.

3H 6K 0BB from the 26 man players.

Meh, he's probably #7 or so right now, behind Bello, Pivetta, Crawford, Houck, Whitlock, and Winckowski.
For me, I'd expect about the same from him as from Walter or Murphy, i.e. just another arm we hope can eat a few innings once in a while and hopefully won't be needed much.

He seemed to do well for the first 2 innings today before cratering, so maybe he could be a useful reliever at some point.

These interviews can be funny (like Casas talking about his breakfast and post breakfast) or silly, talking about what they like to do outside. I’m waiting for someone to say they like long walks on the beach and back rubs.
Just not a fan of doing these to a player in the field. If they feel they MUST do the interviews, talk to a guy who is between 7th to 9th up to bat that inning.
