Uh, nothing? What the hell is wrong with this pitcher?
Fuck yeahI remember very fondly a postseason game that Verlander lost, 1-0. Ten years ago!
Yes, I answered myself, up above. I was afraid he was going to hit the guy.Uh, nothing?
A team that can score as much as Texss shouldn't be so good on defense. It isn't fair.Very nice infield defense
Just looking over his career numbers, he was a solid pitcher for the Yanks, at least when healthy, but he’s really stepped up to a new level over the past two seasons since leaving the Bronx. So, yeah.Montgomery is making himself so much money this postseason
Kerry Wood and Mark Prior surely wish Dusty’s daddy wasn’t so hardcore.Dusty on Jordan Alvarez being sick:
Why is Alvarez in the lineup?
"His name is Yordan," Baker said. "That's number one. And plus, number two, the reports about him having a virus, I got a virus, everybody got a virus. So he's fine. He's better today than he was yesterday."
Alvarez struggled in the opening game of the series, a 2-0 Rangers win. He went 0-for-4 and truck out three times against Texas lefty Jordan Montgomery. As well as Montgomery pitched, Alvarez may have been facing him at less than full strength.
"I mean, what is sick?" Baker said. "No, I'm serious. I'm not being a smarty."
Baker was then asked about Alvarez's specific symptoms.
"He's fine," Baker said. "He's better today than he was yesterday. And like I was telling somebody yesterday, as a responsible man, a family man, you go to work, you know? And I never saw my dad in the bed ever sick, and I'm sure he was sick. And sometimes as a man you just go to work."

I mean, if you take Dusty at his word...Was everyone else in the lineup sick, too? They got 5 singles all game. If Alvarez felt well enough to walk into the batter's box, I don't see any problem with having him DH to see if could luck out and run into one.
Lefty pitcher.I wonder why Bochy took the kid out of LF and is playing Grossman. It may be okay, but I was really enjoying Carter out there.
Jung was swinging way too aggressively at everything. Valdez isn't locating well on much of anything. Why swing at that? Valdez is locating that curve at all.
Yes! Meant to type “ISN’T”. Valdez can’t locate that change up either.Jung was swinging way too aggressively at everything. Valdez isn't locating well on much of anything.
Big Agent Smith vibes.I mean, if you take Dusty at his word...
"everybody got a virus."
Framber thought this also.Thought this game started at 5... missed some action!
Stop banging the drum for themThe playoff system is just not fair for the Astros.
