It would be less infuriating if they didn’t spend a few minutes a game looking like a competent football team
The Pats with Mac peaked on that 2021 Monday night game against the Bills in bad weather. Ironically, that Mac peak was the game Mac threw the ball like 2 times. It was a sign.
let's not lose sight of starting that drive with the most predictable first and long running play ever.

You need Mac Jones to be Cousins but Cousins has had godly receivers catching his passes. Get better players if you want to be competitive with a sub-Cousins QB.

I’ve been a Mac defender, but that was weak. Ball out slow, off the back foot, in easy to pick spot.
Cousins was much better in Washington without great receivers than Mac has ever been. People severely understate the gap in production between those players. Cousins is closer to being Joe Burrow than Mac is to him.

I'm cool with losing to the Cowboys. But when I walked into the game, I told myself that the Cowboys are the kind of team to smash shitty teams but average teams can play them tight.
If the Patriots get rolled tonight, this team is done. Like, for the season. I'm not a Doom and gloomer, but this game is a good barometer of just how bad this team is.
So far, they're looking like a 6 win team.

Thats a typical Mac pass. You can complain about the protection all you want, but he had some time, waited, and then tried to fling it off his back foot. I can barely throw a sprial but can tell Mac’s mechanics constantly look like ass.
