I turned this on in the 9th because it's win win for me - either I get to see a perfect game, or I get to see a Yankee blow a perfect game. Instead I get to watch the Yankees pour it on against the AAAA A's. Yuck.
I see what you did there. Was it over when the German got through 8 innings? No!
Me too, I just want to see the bottom of the 9th!I turned this on in the 9th because it's win win for me - either I get to see a perfect game, or I get to see a Yankee blow a perfect game. Instead I get to watch the Yankees pour it on against the AAAA A's. Yuck.
Maybe the offense will Orsillo GermanI turned this on in the 9th because it's win win for me - either I get to see a perfect game, or I get to see a Yankee blow a perfect game. Instead I get to watch the Yankees pour it on against the AAAA A's. Yuck.
Nah, got to be Dallas Braden or Phillip Humber.Worst pitcher to throw a perfecto?
Worst in this case means character wise.Nah, got to be Dallas Braden or Phillip Humber.
My first thought was Philip HumberWorst pitcher to throw a perfecto?
Humber. Although I still think the final pitch should’ve been ball 4Worst pitcher to throw a perfecto?
That is undisputed.Worst in this case means character wise.
(aka his suspension for domestic violence)
Nah Braden was better. Threw another shutout that year and 4 other CG’s that year and an ERA of 3.50 that yearNah, got to be Dallas Braden or Phillip Humber.
During the 6 run inning earlier in the game, they said German actually went to the bullpen and threw a few pitches, do not remember anyone actually doing that mid-game not involving rain delays.Maybe the offense will Orsillo German
So how many minutes until someone in the media talks about the "adversity" he's overcome.I do see some Yankee fans upset it's German, too. This is going to be an interesting story how it gets covered by the media.
Braden was pitching well before he blew out his shoulder and was done at age 27.Dallas Braden?
Also, get the fuck off my mound!Braden was pitching well before he blew out his shoulder and was done at age 27.
If I were Amando Galarraga, I'd be very happy with how things turned out. Nobody remembers that Humber guy, but every baseball fan knows the story of his almost perfect game. Why baseball gods, why last night and not 2010...

I guess you don’t want to overextend your young Ace, but would liked to see if he can go 120 and finish itSomething happening in Detroit against the Jays...
Pulled at 6 2/3, after 91 pitches. Still a no hitter though
Yup. Glad they still got it though. Strange strategy as Detroit probably isn't going anywhere this year. They're heading into the ASB, so why not stretch him out a little further?I guess you don’t want to overextend your young Ace, but would liked to see if he can go 120 and finish it
He missed a lot of last year with shoulder issues and just came off the 60 day IL about 2 weeks ago. There is no universe where leaving him out there to throw "120 pitches" would have been the responsible thing to do.Yup. Glad they still got it though.
