For me, it is the constant feeling that there's a dance party going on in the stands regardless of the score or whatever may be happening in the actual game. I will concede to being old.

He was the guy who had the slogan “Don’t let us win”. He was not a significant part of the journey other than The Walk. He has parlayed this into a great post play career. Right place at the right time.

i get that he was and is a bit of a clown but he was a huge part of that clubhouse and had a very good year for not a ton of money. The walk alone is reason enough to give him a pass for living off the moment

I was at the game when Terrance Long robbed Manny of a walk off homer in similar fashion. Fenway went from a full roar to dead silent in an instant.
Did the rain knock that down a little? That contact (106mph, 22 degrees) should have gone farther, I think.
