This masonry is unreal. Fucking up both Game 1 and 4 opened them up to the perils of game to game shooting variance and here we are.
Stop building teams that suck if they aren’t hitting threes and whose only answer to not hitting threes is to shoot more threes.
This is the real problem. It should have been a sweep or easily 3-1. You mess around & you get this.

Smart playing but not getting stops is pretty alarming. Still no stops and still not running. Pace is bad, shooting is bad.
If they are going to defend Tatum so hard we should sit Hauser out there to bomb 3s. So many open bricks or air balls
Perhaps one of the guys glued to the bench can change that.

This team is very good at shooting threes.. Joe just refuses to put a lineup of all three point shooters out there and Horford and Tatum can't hit tonite.

The Cs have only made 17 shots! Getting to the line is keeping them in it. They should really be down 20+ shooting this way.
You gotta try SOMETHING different. They have guys on the bench who are really good shooters and the current guys aren’t hitting the broad side of the barn. So give one of the other guys a chance. And it’s not like the current guys are playing great D either so what’s there to lose by trying Hauser or PP? They might provide a huge spark.
I am going to approach the rest of this game with unreasonable optimism!

Smart, TL...the list could grow in my eyes. Both Smart and TL just aren't the same from a year ago. Smart might bounce back and be quicker laterally (which has been a noticeable negative for him in the last few months), but Rob just doesn't have what he did a year ago, and I don't know if he ever will again, and the availability/injury thing
So a huge part of this is just going 6/25 on mostly open and wide open 3s... that's just bad luck mostly.
On the other hand the energy is up and down when they miss.

Joe needs to look at himself on this one and ask himself why he hasn't made a single adjustment all game to a lineup that is clearly struggling.
If you're hoping that Joe has something clever up his sleeve you're going to be disappointed.
They got it down to 5 or whatever and responded by Grant auto fouling Embiid twice for no reason. Just a dumb team.
