Gotta say, this O'Brien-Middlebrooks-Speier booth was genuinely good for that half-inning, that was a thoughtful and informative discussion there on Yoshida.

Middlebrooks showing far more thoughtfulness than most TV guys with regards to the adjustment a Japanese player has to make when coming to the US/MLB, Speier with some good info on Yoshida's approach, both with some good commentary on his hitting. It was very good.
So many of them do that it can harden you against the sport. It's really annoying.

The Speed column is pretty revealing-- 68, 52, 38, now back up to 61 this year. He really does look faster on the bases and in the field.
