Don't understand at all, given the weather, why they're playing this game. It looks like it's pouring again.

It’s insane the degree to which the results of so many of his starts do not match up with what actually happened.

This one not quite as drastic as he has given up some rockets too.

So they wore the Marathon-themed City Connect jerseys for the first three games of this series and then are wearing home whites with Boston today? Interesting.

With the super early start I'd think they'd have a whole day to try and finish this one. Is there some kind of limit on how long they wait out a rain delay on a non-official game?

What's the weather look like? (for out of town-ers) Is this gonna inevitably get done at some point or can we keep our fingers crossed it gets called?

They should be able to get the game in later this afternoon. The Angels don’t want to travel here on an off day later this season.
Do you honestly believe this game will matter to playoff positioning?

Hopefully this will at least last long enough so that Ohtani won't be able to keep pitching.
That seems to be about the best we can hope for. Our bullpen seems pretty taxed although anything from the Angels BP seems better than facing Ohtani.

Winckowski or Kutter available for a couple innings today or is it going to be piecing it together one-by-one (with Jansen at least avail today if it miraculously gets there!)

Because of the new balanced schedule, I think it will for the Sox. Probably not the Angels.

I think all three wildcard teams come from the East because they play each other so much less.
You don't think that the Astros, Mariners or Rangers could be a WC team?

I gotta say as a Floridian, this is a classic Florida weather pattern

Of course they can be. I just think the Yankees, Jays and *fingers crossed* the Sox will be.

I don't believe in the Rangers, really. Not yet anyway. Astros will win that division despite the slow start. Mariners are certainly a threat.

Oh, I thought you meant the Yankees, Jays and Orioles

If this was later in the season with limited days to try to squeeze it in and both teams out of contention it doesn't get rescheduled, but that's not the case ATM. If postponed it will be reschedule when the travel schedules best allow for it.
That wasn't my question

Had a second so answering my own question...

Looks like Crawford went 3 on Thurs so should be good for a couple? Winck 3 on Sat so doesn't seem likely.

Schreiber/Jansen back-to-back Fri/Sat but off yesterday of course. Bleier probably available (eh). Ort/Brasier back-to-back past two days.

Maybe a throw day by another starter if they get desperate?

But seems like at least Kutter going to have to throw. Hate to waste Schreiber or Jansen if they're still behind.
