Every event should be like this
Holy shit, ESPN was saying the wind had 'knocked some trees down' as it went into weather delay.
They already had the chainsaws out when SVP was reporting on it 5 minutes after the video popped up online. There will be zero evidence of that tree's existence by tomorrow morning.
It was. Looked like at least two people were right next to - or even in between - the trees that fell. They just showed video of the trees coming down on 17. It's a miracle no one was killed.
Glass bubbleThe one thing the Masters can't control. Mother Nature. But they are working on it.
I expect cloud seeding and a new breed of fall proof trees in the near future.
I don’t watch enough golf to know so I’ll ask: that forecast seems bad enough that they maybe shouldn’t even try to get the round in on Saturday. At what point would they pre-emptively call it?Tomorrow likely won’t go well.
Saturday
Rain and possibly a thunderstorm. High near 51. Northeast wind 15 to 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.
Saturday Night
Rain, mainly before 2am. Low around 44. Breezy, with a northeast wind 16 to 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
I was thinking Happy Gilmore, but I didn't read the twitter handle at first.
Lightning will obviously shut everything down. If there is lightning within a certain radius of the course they have to pull everyone off.I don’t watch enough golf to know so I’ll ask: that forecast seems bad enough that they maybe shouldn’t even try to get the round in on Saturday. I was assuming that but why is that kind of visibility in the air and on the course important since the ball is already struck and why would they not be allowed for other golfers?I think they are supposed to be easier to see
I remember watching their victories in real time. Comparing how they looked then to now makes me feel very old indeed.Mize and Lyle look … older than 63.
I usually play a yellow ball because I find it easier to track in the air. Yes, the ball is already gone, but it’s helpful to be able to see the ball flight and how it bounces. They are conforming and anyone can play them, there just aren’t many Tour players that have chosen to. Bubba played a pink Volvik for a while and I think Rickie Fowler has played the TaylorMade Pix ball for a while.I was assuming that but why is that kind of visibility in the air and on the course important since the ball is already struck and why would they not be allowed for other golfers?

Uh, yellow? Yellow golf balls are fantastic when it's cloudy and just easier to see IMO. They're... not great in the fall. Why do the old-timers all use neon green balls?
I learned this the hard way.Uh, yellow? Yellow golf balls are fantastic when it's cloudy and just easier to see IMO. They're... not great in the fall.
