I can't believe the same guy who somehow got the umps to overturn 2 bad calls... that favored NY... in the postseason... in Yankee Stadium... in the peak era of Yankee propaganda... without video review... didn't even bother to challenge that call.
2nd best hitter in the league, arguably, plus the best closer, good relievers and starters, a good manager, usually good fundamentals, and 38 games against the tigers and royalsIt’s kind of amazing this team (a) won its division and (b) pushed the Yankees to 5 games considering how terrible this offense is.
Tigers/Royals and it's 19 games per team.36 games against the A's and Rangers.
He homered earlier.Judge is the worst hitter on the MFY right now.
He certainly did. He also has struck out is almost every other at bat he's had, no?He homered earlier.
Yeah but maybe you don't get just how bad a lot of the Yankee hitters are currently. For instance, Marwin Gonzalez is currently in the lineup and you and I have hit about as well as him the past few months. He certainly did. He also has struck out is almost every other at bat he's had, no?
4 games in 5 days, would have been 4 straight without yesterday's rainout. It’s wild to me Cleveland played 3 games in 6 days and this is the plan Francona came up with for Game 5.
Gonzalez definitely didn't hit 62 homers this year, tho.Yeah but maybe you don't get just how bad a lot of the Yankee hitters are currently. For instance, Marwin Gonzalez is currently in the lineup and you and I have hit about as well as him the past few months.
Like I said earlier…he’s gonna hear a lot of this pretty soon. It’s wild to me Cleveland played 3 games in 6 days and this is the plan Francona came up with for Game 5.
A lot of lies? As Abbey already pointed out, Shawnbru's post is not even close to accurate. They spent their 3 best starters in the last 4 days. It was Civale or the bullpen today unless they had held back Plesac or Morris Sunday night.Like I said earlier…he’s gonna hear a lot of this pretty soon.
Right?Do the TBS cameras need to cut away to shots of the crowd literally every pitch?
Not going with the bullpen plan was not a good call. Use the arms you have.A lot of lies? As Abbey already pointed out, Shawnbru's post is not even close to accurate. What do you think the chances are that Tito retires?A lot of lies? As Abbey already pointed out, Shawnbru's post is not even close to accurate. They spent their 3 best starters in the last 4 days. It was Civale or the bullpen today unless they had held back Plesac or Morris Sunday night.
Do they cut away from commercials to every pitch? NESN doesn't.Do the TBS cameras need to cut away to shots of the crowd literally every pitch?
I find it tiresome as well, but hasn't that been fairly standard in postseason coverage for like 20 years now? I still remember Fox doing that back during the 2004 ALCS.Do the TBS cameras need to cut away to shots of the crowd literally every pitch?
2 runs is 20 with this offenseSince the first inning, it's felt like Cleveland has been down 20 runs.
He said a month or two ago that he plans to be back next year, so I think it would take a more serious medical situation than he foresees to change that. He is having surgery in the off-season, but I don't recall what it is off the top of my head – I don't think it's expected to get in the way of anything for next season. I do believe that was his way of making a soft retirement announcement for after the 2023 season. I think Sandy Alomar is still the heir apparent (it would almost seem underhanded not to give him the job after he's turned down several opportunities to leave). If more medical issues come up for Tito during the 2023 season, they'd probably make the transition official in-season. Alomar managed most of the 2020 season. What do you think the chances are that Tito retires?
