Brady is returning and there will be a lot of strong feelings abound given what Brady meant to the franchise and its fans. But now he's a Buccaneer and we have our Mac. So, what do you want to see Sunday night (apart from a Pats win)? I'll start it off. I was one of the bigger Brady fan boys the past 2 decades. Will always love what he accomplished and how he handled himself. Just the perfect athlete and representative of the area. And, quite clearly, the GOAT.
But you know what? I feel like Belichick isn't getting the attention that he deserves and I'm starting to get annoyed by that. The last 12 months has been Brady this, Brady that, all the time. And with good reason given what he accomplished. But now it's Belichick's turn. I'm not one of those people who want the Pats to win but Brady to play well. F that. I want to see a vintage Belichick performance where the Pats win and Brady has one of his 270 yard 2 TD/3 INT type games. I want to see frustrated Brady face. I want to see INTs. I want Judon and Co. to knock him down and be really physical. Clearly, I don't want injuries but I want this to be a very difficult game for Brady and one where the narrative shifts back to Belichick. Brady's had his fun and will get a ton of acknowledgements before and during the game. Now it's BB's turn.
This Pats team needs a giant spark and taking Brady down in impressive fashion could be that spark.
