Stiffy left us two years ago today, but I know he would want the Patriots to kill Brady, so my vote is in Stiffy's memory.

This is where I think the game is headed with the game out of reach for the Patriots by halftime. I don’t think the Patriots have the personnel to get consistent pressure up the middle to make Brady uncomfortable.
Hope I’m wrong.
It seems like you’re right. But NFL football offers similar surprises on a regular basis, and very often without Bill Fucking Belichick patrolling the sidelines. Let’s play.

What result do I want? A Patriots win, any way possible. Barring that, a good game by Tom, a very competitive Pats performance, and a stellar game by Mac that shows clearly that he’s the next man.
Well I didn’t get my first choice but clearly got my second.

About 8” to the right on Folks FG - other than that it was the perfect game for this pats fan

Both Mac and Brady are great. High scoring affair where Brady and Mac throw for 3-5 TD's each. No picks.

Brady with 2 minutes left, down by 6 goes for a quick 45 second drive and takes the lead. Mac, with 1:15 left marches down and Nick Folk kicks a 40+ yarder to win.
TD's aside, I was close. Certainly didn't expect a fucking 56 yard attempt.

Apparently (per Brady, during Brady's press conference) during their very brief postgame hug BB told Brady he'd stop by after the game. So what looked like a very very short and not crazy friendly interaction after the game was obviously not the real thing - they spent quite a bit of time together.

Brady and BB both said this week at various points how nonsensical the speculation and "reporting" about their relationship has been. They were both like (and I'm paraphrasing here), look, we were together for 20 years and had incredible success. Of course there were moments when we were frustrated with each other, but we wouldn't have stayed together this long if we didn't have a good relationship.

Personally I’m just glad it’s over with. Im not looking forward to going through all this again in February.
