Celtics are having a great free agency by this metric. Let everyone else sign long-term deals for mediocre players that hurt their cap before the ink dries.Yeah guys like this aren’t who we want to lock up. We want flexibility to move for Beal or to clear space in the summer for Beal.
agreed, should have matched that dealI'm not the biggest Lonzo fan, but NO should have just matched him if the alternative was 1 year of Sato and a 2nd. You could just trade him next year for real value.
Green is a nice dealI don't feel like grabbing tweets, but Woj's last 2 are:
Jeff Green to Nuggets, 2/$10m & Moe Harkless back to Kings for 2/$9m.
& the most recent Shams Bomb is Sterling Brown to Mavericks for undisclosed terms.
2nd year is a player option, but still nice deal for Bucks.wow Milwaukee got Portis for nothing $9MM/2yrs
Zach Collins got $22MM for 3yrs.2nd year is a player option, but still nice deal for Bucks.
Yup, obviously a good deal, but obviously it would be an even better deal without the player option, so just wanted to point it out for completeness.Zach Collins got $20MM for 3yrs.
Portis just gifted the Bucks a season
Word. I thought the same thing. Happy to see.Good to see Nerlens Noel make some money after he and his agent turned down a stack years ago.
How do you feel about Dwight Howard? (Shams &Woj)Man, how far have LBJ and the Unibrower fallen when they can't even land decent ring chasers?
I thought you were done with Kawhi? Not a max guy anymore?Kawhi where you at? No one has money left. Come home.
Uncle Dennis is ballingKawhi where you at? No one has money left. Come home.
He can still park his injured ass on our bench.I thought you were done with Kawhi? Not a max guy anymore?
Knicks & Spurs seem like the main 2. Oh, + Mavericks. So, who has money left for Fournier?
4/$78m with a team option in 4th year (Woj). Team option is nice at least...Evan to the Knicks

In fairness to others, we have a great advantage in that Beal gave us an obvious target for our fan base to buy into.Celtics are having a great free agency by this metric. Let everyone else sign long-term deals for mediocre players that hurt their cap before the ink dries.
Well...I really hope it works. So we are set up for Beal in 11 months.
We are set up for Beal beginning right now for the next 11 months. Retaining Smart while adding J-Rich allow for that.So we are set up for Beal in 11 months.
And they lost Bullock.I wonder if the Knicks realize that resigning all their current players (add Rose @ 3/$43m per Woj) & adding Fournier won't actually make them a particularly good basketball team.
If the Wizards will listen. We are set up for Beal beginning right now for the next 11 months. Retaining Smart while adding J-Rich allow for that.
Did you forget about Richardson? On the one hand, I’m perfectly fine with letting Fournier go. I don’t see him as a difference maker, and I can’t see the C’a spending that kind of change on him.
On the other hand, it’s a bummer that this is the end of the line with the Heywird experience. At least I can still dislike Kyrie.
At some point they are going to have to listen to someone. We have a head start in trying to get something done once their season ticket sales push is over and before the other teams focus on next season. If the Wizards will listen.
The Wizards have a new coach for whom Beal may find he really likes playing. I don't expect Washington to make much noise this season, but stranger things have happened, and it sounds like they're trying to add Dinwiddie.A lot of the frustration here and elsewhere assumes the Celtics aren't privy to information on Beal. I'm sure through Tatum they know exactly what Beal intends or if he doesn't.
This isn't a Kyrie situation where you're dealing with a headcase and narcissist who's promised something he never really intended. Beal is a normal guy who likes to play basketball and win. It all looks to me look like PBS and co know exactly what they're hunting for.
yeah Knicks are done now, maybe some small moves but they filled all their cap space. Not a cap guy but I guess this means the Knicks can't fit DeRozan into their roster now?
