It only matters where the ball was, and it was clearly over the goal line and voluntarily brought back. No idea why McCarthy didn't challenge.
He can't challenge a change of possession, agreed odd that it wasn't even discussed.

His body was in the end zone when he recovered it, hence the touchback.
Think of a gunner downing a punt. If they are in the endzone when the down the punt, it is a touchback, regardless of whether the ball crossed the line.

Oh man, center is not a position you want a guy to go down at. I assume he will be fine in a moment, but that's gotta scare a coach.

GBs secondary did not come to play today. Jones and Sanu are wide open on these 15 yard slant and out routes and it isn't like they are doing anything specifically complicated to get them open.

But if a Packers WR 'recovered' the ball it would be spotted at the one yard line. But because the defense recovered it, its considered a touchback? NFL rules are stupid.
